Whether you're new to the forum or Julip collecting as a whole, tell us something about yourself! How long have you been collecting? Do you have any pets or real horses etc etc. (Be sensible though, don't give out your full name, address or yard or school name for safety's sake! )

I'll begin shall I? I'm Christine, otherwise known as EG/Elrenia_Greenleaf/Lynkhart everywhere else! I've been collecting Julips since I was 17 in 2007 when I bought Tamarind the Lippizaner 'unseen' off the spares page and never looked back! My herd currently totals forty... something and is definitely set to increase. I collect other types of model too but I'm mainly concentrating on Julips these days as they're so much fun to collect! I used to ride once a week at my local stables but haven't ridden regularly in a few years, though I'm hoping to rectify that in the spring. Oh and I love anything cob-shaped with fluffy feet!

My username rather gives away who I am, doesn't it! I'm 30 and have been collecting Julips since 1997, my first one was a piebald farm cob which I named after my favourite riding school horse, soon joined by some of her friends from my lessons, and by then the Julip bug had thoroughly bitten and my collecting expanded to include catalogue models, vintage Julips, special orders and spares - as well as HOTY models which I like to customise. I'm not entirely sure how many I have now because I'm not organised enough to keep count, but it might be nearly 300 I like making tack and props for my herd and stableyard, and taking them to live shows to compete and meet other fans.

Hello, I'm Manda. I have been collecting Julips since the early 90s and other makes since the early 70s! (Yes, I'm pretty prehistoric!) I like making tack, building dioramas, repairing elderly Julips and drawing daft comics and cartoons about them. I can't ride any more (other than my trusty bike) but I still love horses.

I've just eaten a sherbet fountain, George!
I'm julipfarm/Alex, I'm the choir one XD I sing A LOT, in various groups and solo. I also play the clarinet, violin and sort of the piano too, and ride (my horse is a grey Connie called Merlin and he's a sweetie most of the time), and shoot (archery, not shotgun).
I've been collecting Julips for... A while. I'm very excited to see J-Coub back up and running, and hopefully I'll have time to make some tack!

My name's Jodie, or Joey, I'm 20, and I've been collecting originals for about 6 or 7 years. My first was a skewbald catalog model on the ID mold, Crackerjack, and now I have 7 (I would have more if I could!) Over the last 9 or 10 years, I've worked at several different yards, including a racing yard, an arab breeding yard, and a few others, and I had my own welsh cob mare on full loan for a year (until she was sold on short notice ). I've spent 4 years studying art, and am currently at the London College of Fashion on my first year of a Fashion Illustration course :3

I'm Skye (Elisabeth for reals). I'm 25 and I got my first Julip in 1995 for my 7th birthday. I collected on and off until I discovered the original J club back in the early 00s. Then the collection really took off! My herd is 50 something but most of them are HOTYs. Until they brought out the latest twisty cob type mould I had every HOTY ever made I also have a handful of special originals mostly made to order. I have to admit I havent had a new julip since the credit crisis began haha! A little about me: I'm from Yorkshire, moved to Denmark when i was 19 where I got a degree in Social Science from Roskilde Uni. Now I'm back in the UK since a few years ago, studying Biology. I live in a really old fashioned farm house and keep my 2 horses at home with me. I have an anglo arab rising 3 year old called Loki, and a welsh coblet x called Shannon. The doggy in my siggy Beau is still going strong, he'll turn 9 this year and I'm sure a few of you remember when he was a puppy!

Hi, I'm Stacey and I'm 20. I've been collecting Julip Originals since 2005, my first three came from the HOTY show. Since then my herd has grown a little... I'm not certain how much but there's definitely more than 100 My collection includes vintage and new Julips and the odd HOTY still for sentimental reasons. I enjoy making scenes for shows and just for photographing but I never seem to have time lately so I'm hoping the revival of J-Club will motivate me to make time! I have a crazy dog (Ziva), a grumpy old cat (Ozzy), share my mums horse (Cail) and have lots of fishies.

Hello, I'm Lydia and have been collecting Julips since the early 1980s.
I have about 200 originals (not dared count them for a few years so will have to do that one day!). My favourite Julip moulds are the Exmoor, Shetland, Highland, Connemara, Cob Mare, vintage Lippizaner, TB, Hunter, well most of them! I host my annual Oxford Julip Live Show around Sept/Oct time each year. Not too sure if I'll be able to do it this year as I'm expecting a baby in May so might be a bit busy...

Hi I'm Pam (aka Coadiesmum). I live in Wales and have been collecting Julips for eons. I got my first in 1979 and have been addicted ever since. I love collecting vintages - the older the better! I have around 340 at the moment. I'm real-horseless now and doubt I'll ever be able to afford one again, but I do have two gorgeous cats called Spooky and Moo!

Hello, I'm Beth (known as Piccolo, Sicilienne and various others round the interweb) and I'm 19. I've been collecting for... I'd guess at 8 or 9 years now, after seeing the HOTY range in Pony mag. I started with Ted the foal, bought from a tack shop - I remember buying a Julip bridle at the same time and asking the unsuspecting cashier if it would fit him! My first original was Malteser, after whom quickly followed thirty-odd more. I haven't had a new one for a while but I'm planning on hoarding little bits of my student loan every so often in order to rectify that. I'm currently at uni, studying English in Exeter, but I've got two cats at home called Alfie and Nico: a horse is on my lifelong wish list! I'm of the musical sort, as my username might give away, and enjoy photography and drawing, especially equine subjects in both cases. I used to ride regularly but only really get to nowadays when I'm home from uni and when on holiday: such rides include a gorgeous piebald cob called Max, a Fjord in the Black Forest and Icelandics in Denmark (crazy! ), however I'd love to get back to riding more regularly at some point. Good to see you all!

Hello, I'm Jackie AKA Whitestones. I'm 40 and have been collecting model horses since I was 12 years old, I 'joined' the hobby in 1988 so this will be my 26th year in the hobby! I collect all types and styles of model horses I have over 2000 (I think) in total. I always wanted Julips when I was younger but could never afford them but would spend hours drooling over the pictures in the catalogues. I don't remember when I got my first Julip, and I'm sad to say I don't remember which one it was either I only have around 30 Julips but I love each one. My latest Julip is the Bay Mule from the last batch of spares ... my Yule Mule as he has been nicknamed lol Looking forward too being a part of the new J-Club Here is a link to some photos of my Julips - it's not quite up to date I must take photos of the new ones www.flickr.com/photos/16274705@N03/sets/72157632217122638/

I'm Annie, I'm 18 and studing Law in Cardiff. I think I picked out my first HOTY at a shop when I was around 9 after seeing them in Pony Mag, I then had some lovely stables and a tack room made at a woodshop. I got given some more stables by a family friend, and then had to buy more Julips to fill them! My first original was the chestnut welshie Merlin from the catalogue as he looked like my old pony. My herd of Originals grew to about 20 but unfortunately I had to sell most of them to afford a vets bill, leaving only my portrait ones. I plan on getting more portraits done in the future, hopefully all of my past horses!
I have a pony called Ruby who we bred out of my old pony Charm (hence the username). My mum looks after her when I'm at uni and friends keep her fit, hopefully we'll be doing a bit of eventing this year.

My name is Michelle Stapleton I live in Ireland, I've been collecting Julip originals over ten years (03) now the HOTY few years longer my first Julip was Topaz (might have been 98 or 99). I was in school. My first Original was Malteser while I was in University and this was followed by loads more, last count I had over an hundred. I also collected JCP breyer models for a while, I love how full of personality each Julip Original is, especially the older ones. I have being lucky in my collection managed to get a older style Lippi , 2 shetland ponys, 1 child's hunter and some foals but there are many others I'd love to get (older shire, donkey to name a few). I love the foal mould initially it started as I was too short money wise to get bigger ones but then I just loved that mould in fact much of my collection is foals or yearlings. I've got the zebras , both normal and hybrid, an odd pink and yellow stripped NF also a zebra , a fiord and a unicorn. I'd love to have some models done to order I'd love a model of Red Hare a legend in China times, the size he was described as is an issue though. I have done three university courses (degree in Zoology and postgraduate in Animal Behaviour and Welfare) including a masters but no luck with work I have many pets , 5 snakes , 1 gecko , 2 fire bellied toads , 1 giant train millipede, 2 fish tanks , 6 tarantulas, 9 Giant African Snails, 1 cat , stick insects and getting a pair of Red Eyed Tree Frogs in March. No real horses I did always want one but wasn't allowed and we wouldn't have the money or space, there are two real horses I rode in lessons and I'd love to have the two ordered though I only have pictures of one Colin (big fellow a huge grey colored horse named after Michael Collins) and Freeway a lovely skewbald colored pony. I'd love to work in conversation but a zoo would be good too.

I am Dawn. I am 32, though I am going to be 33 next month. I live in North East Wales and my username is Welsh, it's a nickname I have been using since the year 2000.
I have been collecting since 2003, though admired Julips since I was little. I have over 100 Julips (including HOTY) at my last count.
I have 3 cats (Eric, Tigger and Sophie), and I volunteer for my local Cats Protection.
I dont have an horse or ride any more, but I enjoy watching Olympia at Christmas. Hopefully one day Julip will return to having a stall at Olympia *hint hint*.
I collect pony books as well as Julips, and I have two blogs dedicated to them.

Hello, I'm Jan and I bought my first Julip in 1976 I built up a small collection of horses and riders before college and then work got in the way. In 2006 I dusted off my collection and somehow got bitten by the Julip bug again. I love real horses too and ride at my local stables on a Sunday. I also have a houserabbit called Smokey, he's nine months old.

Hi, I'm Em and I have a little Julip yard called Mumbleswan Equestrian. Total headcount is now about 12 originals and 4 HOTYs. (+ 70 odd magpies !) I've been out of the model horse hobby for a couple of years but I finally have my models back with me and some time and space to start being creative with them again in my new cottage. I am chief noms and walkies provider for a soppy black labrador rescue called Tess and most Saturdays I ride a grumpy little pony called Paddy who I ordered ages ago as a Julip - he now lives up at EA Equestrian. I would say the yard misses him but the bruises are still visible So pleased to see J-Club up and running again, I can't wait for the next spares batch and also the special orders to be available again.

"I'm Skye (Elisabeth for reals). I have an anglo arab rising 3 year old called Loki.". OMGolly Gosh....I have a Loki too...he is the Crabbet bred Arab in my avatar! Show name Highlander Ceallach. Is your Loki as cheeky as mine??? Loki is the Norse God of mischief and Ceallach means bright haired & troublesome.....LOL. Lives upto his name he does. Ceallach was a 9th century Irish Chieftan and my ancestor--his followers were the Kelly's. Hi I am Debi and I live in New Zealand which has made collecting the old HOTY models interesting but I have managed to get them all and am just waiting for the first of my Originals to arrive.

Hey, its great to have the J-club forum back! I'm Jody, I'm 18 (19 in March, which calls for a new Julip...) and my collection stands at about 50 something, roughly a half and half mix of originals and my carpet herd of HOTY's. I got my first Julip from my mum for Christmas when I was 4, the Bonnie and Banner giftset closely followed by Bob the Cob, and my first original - a catalogue Storm - in 2001. My favourite moulds are definately the Arab Champion and Dartmoor, and I would dearly love to find a vintage Exmoor someday. My collecting now is across all makes, I had a large Original Finish plastic phase but now seem to be returning to the bendies, as well as a few choice Artist Resins. I love to show, and get my Julips out whenever possible one of them even took a Top Ten at BMECS this year! Outside of the hobby, I have a full time job at a coffee lounge, and will be heading to Bath Spa Uni in September to study Education. I love to draw and paint, and am part of the band at my local church where I do backing vocals, this is starting to branch a little further for me which is exciting! I play the guitar, though not very well, and love to ride. Would like to ride more, but just don't have the spare time right now I enjoy travelling, and will be going to Malta with my family, Kefalonia with my boyfriend and Romania with my church this year, which I'm really excited about. I love anything to do with the ocean (apart from octopus's, they scare me....) and will hopefully be trained to scuba dive this summer with my boyfriend, and be able to join my friends and family members who also dive after that is done for short breaks and days out I have a dog, a Cocker Spaniel called Rolo - he's 9 this year, we have had him since he was 8 weeks old, and we also have two hamsters, affectionately called Bubble and Squeak. Thats me can't wait to get back into the wonderful world of Julip again
