Yeah I so understand not having space! The stables, jumps, and most of the riders are all stored away. Hopefully a new house means ROOM to display!

Another NZer!!!! I am not alone :'D
Hi I'm Tashie! Same as the good 'ol Julip J-club! I have been collecting since 2004 when I saw an ad in the Horse and Pony Mag and then travelled to the UK to pick up Nutmeg and Nicola! I have just a nice handful of Julip, plenty of HOTY and four Originals (two customs) soon to be plenty more thanks to dad's upcomeing trip to the UK! Being in NZ does make it interesting to collect the fabulous Julip just like Debi said, but it has made me quite DIY with my buildings and accessories.
About me... I am turning 20 this year, studying Primary Teaching and have two horses, one who I had a mould made of as a baby. I also ride another for a friend sometimes. I have a dog called Skipper who is a JR. Thankfully he doesn't try to eat my Julip.

Hello I'm Rach.
I started collecting in 2003 and my first Julip was Ted the Clydesdale Foal. I only have 2 custom originals, but I have plenty of the old catalogue models. My first originals were Merlin and Moppet, the dapple grey family horse and foal. They're now over 10 years old!! I think for that reason they're my favourites. Most of my julips are now in storage (probably not a bad thing, Smartie and Smudge have turned a brilliant shade of brown and black!) but I do plan on getting the odd julip or two more.
I'm 21 now and since I was last on here I've moved to Scotland studying. I still ride regularly and hopefully will be able to get my own horse in the not too distant future!

hello, i'm pip and i'm 19 and studying vet medicine in london. i've sort of fallen out of the julip sphere since i stopped having hands on time with real horses because for me the two hobbies sort of came together as one. i've tried a couple of times to get back into just julips but it's been pretty hard so expect me to come and go a bit! i sold pretty much all of my HOTYs a few years back so my collection is quite reduced from what it was and consists in the main of original portraits of ponies i used to know/ride. annie (charm) can be blamed entirely for my introduction to the hobby as i fell in love aged 10 with the stable lay out she had on her bedroom floor. i can't believe i've been around the hobby for nearly 10 years now... crazy.
the hobby i have sort of fallen into since julips is music - i collect records and cds as well and pretty much all my money seems to go on those and on going to concerts. i don't really know what else there is to say about me!

Hello! I don't yet collect Julips (hoping to rectify that tomorrow!), but I've collected various other types of model horses for years. I'm a Ph.D student in Canada, so I don't have much room or funds for collecting at present, but a few "adorables" make it into the apartment. I have one little shelf of models that has everything from a My Little Pony custom painted with Cthulhu tentacles to a steampunk tokidoki unicorno I made last spring. There's just enough room for a Julip Saddlebred (or cob? or pit pony?)... I have a Siamese-mix cat, Kali, and a tiger salamander, Arkham. I ride an adorable black Welsh Cob when I can escape from studies and it's not ungodly cold outside (this past month has been brutal!). When I was young, I primarily competed in reining and saddleseat equitation, but I've done a bit of everything from barrel racing to driving. Mostly, though, I spend my days with my nose in a book and consider it worth being a broke college student again. EDIT: I also spend more time than I should trying to learn how to knit dinosaurs. My profile picture is Vern, my first attempt at a plesiosaur (technically an aquatic reptile, but the pattern looked easier than the dinos).

Another knitter? Excellent. I'm a crochet girl myself but us 'fibre arts' fans should stick together.

Yay! I can crochet, but I'm faster/better at knitting, so I usually stick to it. I'm currently working on a pterodactyl.

Salamander!!! I'm studying salamanders at my university this year in molecular ecology. Heheh. My real name is Marisa (rhymes with Theresa) but I go by Tess most times. I'm 37 and am looking to purchase my first Julip. I saw Elrenia's and few others' on another forum and thought they were just darling. I am in Michigan, across the pond, and I am going back to school to finish my biology degree. I don't have any real horses, but I have been collecting models since 1984 and have about 400 or so. I do have an adorable 6-pound calico kitten named Skitters who just turned 15 in December. I'm excited to join here.

I'm Elli and I've been around J-Club since the start of the very first forum so it's nice to see it back! I'm in the final year of my PhD and have also worked part-time with show horses for several years now. I don't have a real horse of my own but have a mad dalmatian called Indigo. I've got 300+ Julips in my collection (I definitely couldn't tell you an exact number!) and they don't get out-and-about as much as I'd like at the moment, but I do try to get to Julip live shows whenever possible

Hi I' m Sophie I' m 26 and got back into model horses about 3 years ago. I have just got my first Original - Malteaser and love her! I also have two HOTY models- Midnight who I got at about age 9 I think and Silver Moon who I hogged for some unknown reason when I was about 11. I also have a lot of flocked models, Breyers, Scheleigh and a precious Stone exmoor! Sorry getting off point..
I have EG's wonderful blog and photo stories to thank for getting me into Julip originals:) As a kid I used to drool through Originals catalogues but could never afford one so finally realised my ambition! ( thank you Frankee!) I love tack making and would love to try a photoshow!
I work as a sales assistant. I used to work with horses but due to health problems this isn't an option anymore. I studied horse care and then conservation. I am really lucky to have a bonkers dog called George and to be able to help excercise my neighbours horses when well enough. I love all animals and volunteer for several different charities I also love a lot of music from BB King to Red Hot Chilli Peppers to The Damned.

Why we are '2'!
You might have noticed that our post on Stacey's topic is as "castlerigg2", not "castlerigg", which we have been on all our horse forums for years. This is solely down to Proboards, which wouldn't let us into JClub no-how! All the other Proboards forums either of us is on - OK - not this one ... so I reregistered us with a new password, and that's worked.

Hi everyone! I'm Caitlin, I've been around on the forums since J-club too but was less active in the hobby while I was in sixth form/uni so there are lots of people I've not "met" yet. I live in the Midlands and collect Julips, Breyers and lots of CFT models. I don't have my own horse but hope to solve that after a few years at work - starting my first job out of uni in September so hopefully will have more money for all my hobbies Would love to come to my first live show one day soon and meet everybody!

Hi, I'm Sari, I'm planning on building a collection of CTF models for my little girl to show. I live in Wales and have an Arab, a Sec C and a Sec D. I'm a full time carer to my little girl with special needs and a part-time papercut artist. Hoping to train as a Feldenkrais practitioner in a few years.
I've only got into the hobby in the last year and I'd love to have more time to customise!!

Welcome! I didn't have any when I joined either, and now there are four looking down from my shelf. Addictive ponies...
