I hope this thread is OK here Post away photos with tack for inspirational purposes! I'll start with this rainbow-coloured headcollar - now I'm so tempted to do something like that in Julip size!

That's so snazzy, I love it! Hope you can find some rainbow-coloured ribbon to make it out of I don't have any tack reference photos uploaded anywhere but my next item to make is pretty simple anyway - any sort of saddle! I've not made one for years and years and I wasn't any good to start with, it's going to be interesting. If I can master saddles I'd like to eventually make a cross country set up and a jousting one

I've recently started a tack collection on my Pinterest, if anyone's interested I think it will be mostly traditional, regional and unusual tack.

This stuff would be perfect for the leadrope, but I've never managed to find any rainbowy ribbon in narrows, the closest I can see is this listing which goes down to 6mm wide - you could possibly fold that in half and glue it to make it be 3mm?

I had some 3mm rainbow satin ribbon a lot like that (I might even still have some, I'm not sure). It wasn't ideal for small scale headcollars though as the sections of colour were too long to get the full range of colours showing and you'd probably end up wasting a fair bit having to cut it into smaller pieces to get more variety of colours. I suspect that might be the case with any kind of rainbow ribbons/cords, they're not really designed for making little things with (I had a rope headcollar made from rainbow cord too once and even in traditional scale the rainbow effect was a little limited.) Although they'd still make nice multicolour headcollars even so (I'm going to have to look now to see if I have any of that ribbon still.)
