In need of lodgings for Julip Live!

So, I'm reeeeally hoping I can make it to the Julip live this year, but I'll need some help!

My parents and I will probably be down in Manchester to see my grandma the week of the 12th of October, so my thought was to get the train down to Oxford from there, go to the show, then hop on the train back to Manchester afterwards. I'd really rather not do it all in one day as I'll be absolutely knackered, but I'm really not very confident about staying in a hotel or travel lodge by myself, so would anyone be willing to put me up for a day or so?

I'd just need somewhere for the day/evening I come down, and the night of the show, but I'd rather not have to travel very far outside of Oxford if at all possible as it's already going to be expensive just to get there at all!

I know I'm leaving this all a bit late but you all know how terrible I am at organising things. XD

I can't really help with this (I'm 50 miles from Manchester so not really close enough to help you out from that end and definitely not local to Oxford) but would you stay in a Travelodge/hotel if someone else was doing near to the hall? I'm not sure if it's the staying in a room on your own that you wouldn't want to do or the whole checking in process, but might be worth considering if people are staying in hotels locally and could travel to the hotel and check in alongside them? Hope you can make it!

Yeah, it's the whole checking in/out thing that freaks me out - I'm always worrying that I'll somehow do the wrong thing or sleep in and yeah, my brain just goes I to overdrive, lol. (Staying *one* night at a hostel in London was bad enough!)

Might be worth seeing if anyone is staying locally then in case the same hotel has any vacancies for that night

It's near another live show which is on the Sunday if it's any help! You could always do two live shows that weekend!

I'm staying at the Romany Inn in Bampton on the Friday night, won't be getting there until quite late though but if you could get a room there you're welcome to catch a lift from there to the show with me
