Hi guys, Quite a few forums I know have a general chat post where you can put a sentence or two about your day, what you've been up to lately, anything exciting that's going on in your life etcetera. How about we start one on here? I know there are lots of people I've not really spoken to and it'd be lovely to get to know everybody! What is everyone doing this weekend? I have some viewings for flats and need to tidy up my own place as someone is coming to view it on Monday and I'm going for a curry with my little sister, boyfriend and some old friends on Saturday night.

I'm loving the pony, EG!
No idea what we're doing this weekend. The husband is having his turn for a hobby weekend - he and his daddy are off for a road run on the west coast with one of the vintage lorries. The wee man and I will find something fun to do, though hopefully nothing too strenuous as I'm crazy sore after digging some new terraced beds in the garden. Where do all the bricks come from? I keep digging and the bricks keep coming!! And the rusty tools, and the license plate, and the broom... it's called the skip, people! Use it!

You could make something out of the bricks! XD

You could make something out of the bricks! XD I used them as ground cover in the rose beds. It actually looks really nice as they're the old orange kind.

Ragworting here too, and a bit of poo picking for variety! Maybe we'll check out the vintage festival at the local country park, weather permitting. If not I've got some crafting stuff to be getting on with.

I love the Dartmoor EG, what a beautifully shaded bay!
I keep seeing ragwort at work and so many of our sites border on land with livestock, which is illegal right? Isn't there a law about being a good neighbour and pulling up your ragwort if it might affect someone next door?

Love that dartmoor, such beautiful shading I'm in an assignment-writing hovel in my uni room. The deadlines for these two were actually mid-May, but around the same sort of time I had a bad bad bad breakup which doesnt really give enough of an idea of everything that happened and how awful it was but no one needs to hear that so I got extenuating circumstances and my new deadline is Monday night. Even with an extra two months I've left everything to the last minute *facepalm*. New boyfriend (really lovely and not a psycho, always a bonus) took me out to give me a break from it all last night which was really nice, saw the new film about Amy Winehouse. Very good but so sad!

Aww Josie, I'm sorry you had a bad break up but glad it resulted in meeting Mr Lovely-and-not-a-psycho! The flat viewings were pretty good this time thanks, we just have some questions the landlord needs to answer then we're hoping to reserve one tomorrow it had a display of swords on the kitchen windowsill but I think the previous tenant is taking them with her!

Glad things are better now, Josie There's never an easy time for difficult stuff happening but it does make work extra difficult when these things happen. My weekend is a weekend of work - yesterday was a day at my part-time horse job, today is a day of PhD thesis stress. Last weekend was a lovely treat with the show but most of my days alternate between horse work and PhD work at the moment. Definitely got my stressed-face on at the moment!

I have been on holiday mainly to Weston super mare. I would put up my photos but they are of seaside piers (I am a pier fan and belong to the National Pier Society) which would bore most people to death. We went to Bath and Wells.
The weather was sunny and I got sunburnt on my arms and neck.

Oooh I like pictures like that we could have a holiday photos thread or just keep it here? We went to Llangammarch Wells last week which was lovely (and we saw Rhod Gilbert in our hotel! I didn't look though because really they're people too who just want to get away from it all...but I was impressed though, heh) and we went up the Elan Valley which was fantastic!
