I'm really surprised how many people can't read huge signs in front of their eyes! I'm working in a stationery shop for a couple of weeks now. We're opening a new store and past week was mainly about getting everything ready for the opening which is tomorrow. There was a huge poster stuck to the doors saying we're opening on Monday - you have no idea how many people were trying to get inside the store despite locked doors! They realised it's not open yet only when one of us told them and/or pointed them the poster...! *huge facepalm*

I have been on holiday mainly to Weston super mare. I would put up my photos but they are of seaside piers (I am a pier fan and belong to the National Pier Society) which would bore most people to death. We went to Bath and Wells. The weather was sunny and I got sunburnt on my arms and neck. I hope you enjoyed Bath and WSM, I live in Bath

Thinking of you and hoping for the best of outcomes for you both!

Hope everything is ok Maryamy84. I'm on placement on a neonatal unit so I've been looking after lots of pre-term little bebbies, the nurses on the wards will be amazing so please try not to worry if they decide it's best for both of you to deliver early x

We have had a hilarious very serious security issue at work this week - I'll try and keep this family friendly... some members of the public had been using one of our sites for, um, dubious purposes, and we were warned to watch out for a man wearing only some stockings who had been known to climb out of the bushes to greet the operators We'd sent two guys out to do some work on site (I was meant to go but turned out to be busy, I am so glad haha) and they had to explain to some of these... members of the public... that they were there for work rather than, uh, pleasure... I'm afraid they are never going to live this down in the office...

I too am on holiday! In Devon and most of my holiday snaps are of steam locos and heritage diesels so I too will refrain from boring you all with that and wait till I get home so I can take a pic of my newbie who I briefly unwrapped then stowed in the wardrobe before I came away

How could you tell it was him? Did you have a special pair of spying-on-the-Royals binoculars?

The shopping centre security guard (who'd shooed all the people out of the way for the helecopter to land) came over and said he'd just met him, and if we went outside we'd be in time to see him take off and fly away. So we all did, just for the sake of it, even though it was far enough away that we couldn't recognise him anyway, it could have been any pilot under that helmet

I once saw your Queen when I was in Newmarket. I kid you not. Me and my father were watching the racing horses galloping up the fields from a nearby road. All of a sudden this big jeep pulled over right next to us and a tiny old granny with a headscarf stepped out of it. And yeah. That was her. She just stood right next to us along the fence for a good ten minutes, quietly observing a couple of her horses being trained. Probably one of the most random moments of my life. Best of all: I've never even seen anyone of our own royal family.
