Not sure really on what board to put this on, My family and myself are all having a trip to hobbycraft which is a 45 min drive away, i threw a lot of my hobby stuff away when i quit a few years ago. What sort of stuff is handy to have in a model horse hobby kit? I Need shopping list ideas and inspiration on what to buy

Oooh, where to start!! Squares of felt and bias binding for rug making. Pastels and pastel pencils for customizing (maybe not so much for Julips though!). Anything and everything from the aisle that sells model trees, grass scatter etc! I went there a couple of weeks back and basically browsed around for about an hour - such fun!

Might be a bit of a late reply, but maybe it triggers some inspiration for a next visit. I've got quite a nice hamper filled with all sort of stuff: squares of felt, ribbons, leather lace, undyed leather, thread, unspun wool, pieces of wood, sticks, apoxie, fimo clay, pastels, paint, mohair, metal wire (in silver, gold and rosé gold), jump rings, lots of little (metal) beads. And tools! Glues, needles, scissors, a sharp little knife, pliers, tweezers, file, a razor blade (for prepping leather) sandpaper, toothpicks, cotton buds, brushes, and a bottle of alcohol, leather dye, edge cote, glaze, primer and a fixative. Gosh, that's a lot of stuff already. And I've probably forgotten half of it!

A bit late for your family trip but I went for sewing supplies at the weekend and got some super cute horse stickers too! I know they were probably for children, but still...
It's also great for balsa wood and loads of different colours of felt, they have lots of bundles of fat quarters too at the moment with small prints if you can find a selection you like (they had all different packs in Coventry but I'd just bought fabric elsewhere and had to abstain!).
