RULES
These are put in place for your own benefit and anyone caught breaking them risks reprimand, suspension and if it comes down to it, a permanent ban. Hopefully that'll never have to occur as generally Julip collectors are all very lovely people.
1. Julips only.
This was created as a Julip specific forum and while most collectors have other brands as well, we'd prefer if we kept discussion of them to a minimum as we'd like to concentrate on the Julips. We don't mind if you mention other makes in passing and of course there is no issue with using props and riders from other companies, it's just that there are plenty of other forums to discuss other models in and we'd like this one to stay as Julippy as possible! (so no threads about your new Breyer for instance)
2. One account per person.
This is pretty basic - you are only one person so you shouldn't need more than one account! If you find yourself locked out of your account or are unable to log back in then we may allow it until we can regain your original but that is at the moderator's discretion and creating multiple accounts to spam or
harass other members will not be tolerated under any circumstances. You can change username on your profile so there is no need to get a new account if you just fancy a different name.
3. Respect your fellow forumers
No one likes to be treated badly by other people which is why any comments of an offensive, sexist, racist, discriminatory or homophobic nature will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Comments we find inappropriate will be removed and the user responsible cautioned with further action taken if necessary.
Overcritical and/or bad mannered comments on someone's riding style or ability isn't on either.
4. No swearing or inappropriate language
This forum is designed to be accessible to all, so bad language and comments of a sexual nature are off limits. If you feel the need to swear then feel free, just don't do it on this forum!
5. No fighting.
Picking fights, harassing and/or bullying other members is a ban-able offence and members found to be doing it will be cautioned, suspended for an indefinite period of time or banned outright.
6. No text speak.
pls refrain frm typing lIk this, it makes absolUtly n senS & makes U L%k lIk an idiot.
(Please refrain from typing like this, it makes absolutely no sense and makes you look like an idiot.)
We accept that spelling and grammar aren't everyone's strong point but if you are able to type a coherent sentence then please don't add txt speak to it! Most internet browsers these days have inbuilt spell checkers so if you're really not sure how something's spelled then refer to that (or google it!)
7. Be safe!
Don't give out your age, address or any other personal information to anyone unless you know them well and/or have your parent's permission if you're still at school. If you are buying or selling a model then please keep all details in private messages and not openly on the board. This is just good old fashioned common sense as this is a public forum.
8. Dragging up old posts.
If you wish to reply to an old post from months or even years ago, ask yourself 'is it worth it?'. If it is a tutorial or something which may still be useful to other members then by all means, reply to it but commenting on a photo of someone's new model from years before just to say 'cool, I like that mould' or something is completely pointless so please refrain from doing it. It annoys other members and clutters up the new threads.
9. Copyright etc.
Please only post images that belong to you. If you have bought a model from ebay or second-hand from somewhere else and the seller gives you permission to use their photos then that's fine, just make sure you say so.
10. Avatar/Signature sizes
Avatars (the image on the left, under your forum name) can be a maximum of 200x200 pixels and signatures 500x200. No one likes to have a page overwhelmed by massive images after all! Most image hosting sites have editing software built in so you should be able to resize them there but if you still need a hand resizing your images then let the mods know and we'll see what we can do.
