(There are more photos on my blog here if you would like to see them, but I wax a bit lyrical at the start so here is the abridged version... plus cat photos!)
Having not had a new Julip original for SEVEN years I think I'm completely justified in having bought, eh, several this summer
First up a blue roan Welsh pony - he has a cute little star, snip and a dorsal stripe so lovely little details! I don't know who painted this one.
During photographs of the first pony Mr Ezekiel, my mum's cat, came to investigate:
Second, a cremello Welsh pony painted by Helen - both of these two have been rehomed from Laura's collection, I think they're so cute!
Mr Zeke decides Julips aren't particularly a hazard and sits down to watch...
Here at last is a CJP of my very own, I have wanted one forever! She's painted to look like a New Forest pony I met on holiday this summer - again more photos elsewhere but here is one of the real pony and a couple of the Julip... I am so pleased with how she turned out and big thanks to Laura for painting her!
Not finished yet... here is my little dog from the most recent batch of spares, he looks like one I caught on a road near Wicken Fen (safely returned to owners!) so I might try and incorporate that into his name somehow...
All need names, I was thinking of calling the CJP "Burley" after the village where I photographed the New Forest ponies but it sounds a bit like naming a native pony after Burghly Horse Trials which would be a bit odd... any suggestions welcome then! Thanks for reading, these guys arriving has made me really happy
P.S. Zeke got bored during the third horse and can now be found in repose near the pond... He thinks it should be dinner time soon...
