Ooh - these are from the time when I would have given anything to own a Julip, but wasn't allowed to have one . They look to be in lovely condition - Sasha is just gorgeous. Lucky you to have them.....

These two were bought to use in a diorama as a chariot team being harnessed up. They looked very fetching and stole the show!
Sasha has the distinction of being a genuine Julip "spare".
Portrait models and "special colours" had to be specially requested and cost more. For a while, Julip was in the habit of painting up two specimens in these cases, sending the "best" to the customer and the "spare" to Beauchamp Place ... which is where we bought him.
Sasha's a stunner, I love that style of dappled grey, I don't think they painted them that way for many years cos I can only think of a very few examples in the collections of people I've known from forums and shows, and we seem to have a pretty good cross-section of what was ever made between us!
