After a long, transatlantic journey, my very first Julip models have finally arrived! I was literally putting on my coat to go to class when the mailman knocked, so I only had time to sign for them before dashing off. I still haven't had time to do anything too creative with them, but the Welsh pony will likely have a halter and the dog a collar within the week. The Julips have the Phonebox! It's Not the One You See (all three troodons knit by me!) Attachments:

How cool! Congrats to you -- and love the little knit dudes. I'm so excited by your arrivals. I should have one by the time I return from my winter break, having made a long journey from New Zealand.

She's cute! Nice and simple and classic and a great start to your herd - hopefully the first of many exciting Julip parcel days

Oh dear, you do realise that Julips are needy things? They will want friends, tack, riders, stables etc etc. You will be broke and outnumbered sooner than you can blink.

Thanks everyone! The model has very nice coloring--medium bay, but the shading is evident and the markings not too stark. I'm reasonably impressed. She already has several critter companions, so there's no turning back now! I'm itching to make a halter and even have the lovely turquoise ribbon for it, but I'm trying to be "responsible" and complete the readings for class this week before making tack this weekend. We'll see how long this lasts. I also need to figure out something fun for the fox as I don't want him to get chased or hunted. Maybe he's a little rehab fox?

Pffft, responsibility is sooooo overrated, models are way more fun.

Your pony looks very cute, I always think the welshies have a cheeky glint in their eye, like they are looking back to aim a hoof at someone! I remember how the condition progresses, soon you will surrounded by latex ponies and looking down your nose at breyers in all their fragile sameyness (Julips bounce, awesome for clumsy folk like me!) What will you call rescue fox? Only drag hunting is allowed at my yard

I've been a terrible Julip owner (but a good student!) and unfortunately haven't done much of anything with the little collection. However, the pony now has a name: Maple. It's a start!
