I've to be honest: my motivation to make props and tack had gone quite a bit in the past couple of months. I think it not only had to do with the liveshows being canceled which is so sad, but also with the fact my tack making supplies still aren't here, so of all the little projects I had in mind there's none that I can complete at this point. It has even become a little frustrating, especially since yesterday I heard it'll possibly be another 7 weeks before things might arrive! 🥺 Although I won't really be able to work on any tack for the Peaky setup or the harness for my new trap, the fact that I knew Grace was on her way did give me boost of inspiration to come up with another little project that I'll be able to work on in the meantime! 😋 So while I was in the middle of sawing bits of balsa wood this morning, the mailman arrived with my Julip parcel! 📦 I rushed to open the box and meet Grace's Secret (and admire the trap) in person! 🥰 She's incredibly adorable and looks just as kind as the Peaky Blinders thoroughbred she's portrayed after! ❤️ She quickly settled in with the lot and I think she's not really that bothered by the fact that it'll be a little while before she'll be put into work to prepare her for her next race. 😋 Wolle's Grace's Secret by Stal Wollepluis, on Flickr Julips by Stal Wollepluis, on Flickr

She's so beautiful. I really like her speckled head and she does look really kind. Her colour reminds me a lot of one of my favourite real ponies, it makes me think I should attempt adding more 'fleabites' and new hair to the Julip version I have (who wasn't an actual portrait model just a random model that came up for sale which was fairly close. Really I'd prefer to order a better portrait model of her now Julip greys are coming out so much nicer than in the previous era but I can't afford that.)
(I don't like Peaky Blinders but I do remember taking screencaps of the racehorse when I watched it because the colour was really nice.)

Thank you so much! 🥰 I saw the speckles on a grey horse at the last live show and instantly knew I wanted to get those done one Julip some day. It was a happy coincidence that the mare from the show I was planning on getting a portrait of also had them! 😋

She's so pretty, the headcollar you've made really suits her too!
Your collection has grown so much and they look so lovely in the cabinet.
