Hi My daughter collected Julips and their stables etc, but due to downsizing I am now going to sell them. Unfortunately I cannot remember whether they are originals or Hoys, so any help would be appreciated and any advice on what I should ask for them too before I put them on eBay. Have added a link below. Many thanks flic.kr/s/aHsmG7ZUSj

Wow, that's quite the stable you have there. The models that bend and stay flexed are Originals while the ones that don't are HOTYs. Your Originals are: Diablo the Lippizaner (black) Flame the Welsh Cob ("pink" chestnut roan) Malteaser the Arab Champion (brown roan) Catalogue model prices seem to vary a bit. I just bought a Catalogue Biscuit for £35ppd, and often see catalogue models in very good condition for around £40-45. Let me know when you've priced your Diablo and Flame as I really like those two You can ID your HOTYs here: www.labratango.com/JulipID/Julipindex.html

In the pic with all the horses the front 2 (the strawberry roan and the black with white socks) and the brown/chocolate roan on the right in the row behind them are the Originals. They're Flame the Welsh Cob (roan) and Diablo the Lipizzaner (black) and Malteser the Arab Champion (choc roan behind them). They're all ex-catalogue models so won't be that rare. Value can depend a lot on condition (discolouration, cracked paint on the legs, broken leg wires, paint rubs, etc). Diablo might be slightly less common as I don't think he was around as long. I have no idea of values though but ex catalogue ones won't generally be as valuable as one-offs/special orders.
The HOTYs probably won't be worth more than a few pounds each, those are all common and more recent models so not that hard to obtain even several years after they ceased production. Although I suspect they might be worth slightly more perhaps if you could match up the right accessories to the right horse where possible.
