Since photobucket has decided that without paying for an account I can’t upload photos to any third party websites I’m not unable to post my photos on here!
Any ideas of something free I can use?

I use imgbb for my photos as it's mobile friendly. A lot of people use Flickr but I have never been able to share photos from my phone. It's only good if you use it from a laptop.

I have found Flickr much easier to use than Photobucket used to be, EG has posted a really good tutorial on how to load and post photos with Flickr on the 'Rules and FAQ' thread above.

I have been having the same issues with photos and getting the pictures off my camera phone in a decent size to put on the forum for a long time now - very frustrating! However earlier this week I noticed that a lot of other members use Flickr so I opened an account and started struggling to teach myself how it worked. To cut a long story short I had success this morning by following EG's tutorial, feeling so chuffed so much thanks EG, very appreciated. I would recommend anyone unfamiliar to Flickr to check it out  |

I'm glad it could help! The only issue I've had with Flickr is using it with my phone, as it's seemingly impossible to copy the img codes to paste into posts. HOWEVER, there is a workaround! You'll first need to go to the desktop version of your image's page, click on the share icon as usual, and when the code comes up, highlight a section of it all the way to the left, then flick down whilst it's still highlighted. This should select the whole code and you'll know it works if the blue highlight runs off the dialog box entirely. You might have to do it a couple of times as touch controls can be a bit temperamental. XD But here, evidence! I'm on my iPhone right now annnnnd... Ta-da! Yes, I had encountered that very problem EG with trying to upload from iPhone / iPad (fine on desktop) so that is very handy to learn of that work around too - thanks again! Loving the chicken scene! |
