I'm going to introduce the pets in another thread because this boy is so beautiful that he deserves his own thread! I saw him on spares night, and very nearly typed 'buy' straightaway because I wasn't sure (not a clue why I dithered because he arrived this morning and he is stunning!) The lighting is poor in this room and he's a glossy finish so he does tend to catch the light! He'll be in my photostories though so I'll take better pictures of him. He is absolutely adorable close up! You can see in the above picture the richness of his bay coat and the adorable subtle dappling on his belly. The thing I most love about Julips (especially now compared to the older ones) is their faces; they just seem to take on such personality, be it cute, cheeky, bold or honest. I also must tell you the story behind his name; I knew he was a boy, so I asked Elaine (the girl who I shared Butterly with) for suggestions. The chat went: Elaine: how about Knight? Dark Knight, you know, like Batman Me: nah, I was thinking something cheeky... Elaine: Mr Punch. I knew a really nice bay called that Me: hmmm. Not sure. Elaine: Dave Me: LOL Dave Elaine: Delboy? Me: Rodney! The significance of this is twofold: Rodney is from Only Fools and Horses (which potentially is a great show name!) and also, this is a Christmas present from my other half. His uncle was in the Navy in WW2 on a battleship called HMS Rodney, the one that helped to sink the Bismarck, and I thought it was a nice touch to name him after that

Ooooh what a stunner! I was tempted with him but decided against it as he was too similar to one I already have!

Yup, Mitchell's a bit darker and has a star instead of a stripe and his socks on opposite feet! XD

I don't really like the ID mould but this is very pretty! Yes I must admit it was not a mould I would have chosen as my top preference but the colour was so rich and his face so pretty I couldn't say no! I think so much of it is colour and if it 'calls' to you
