They look really lovely but it'd be nice if someone made some affordable stirrups (they'd be better in plastic if that made them a lot cheaper; metal ones aren't really necessary anyway just for models). There's just no way I could spend over £7 (including VAT and shipping) just for one pair of model stirrups.

I've ordered a couple of pairs to see what they're like.

I think they might turn out to be Julip pony sized, for child riders' feet only, cos it says 'shown 3x actual size' on the large photo, and there's no way a stirrup a third of that size would fit a big HOTY-rider boot - unless it's the image showing up the wrong size on my screen.

There are measurements on there but I haven't got a Julip saddle nearby to compare them. They are expensive if you're wanting to make saddles to kit out your whole collection (and are expensive for two tiny bits of metal, I suppose!) but if they're nice then I can see them appealing to people who make very good quality tack, especially if they're wanting to sell it.

Yeah, I see your point there, I think I might get a pair one day, for my Julip custom Rosie's saddle - cos I made a copy of her real one it's sort of sentimental value to me and worth spending a bit on making it look as right as possible. And I could always pull them off and use them on my other saddle when I go to live shows, all my stirrup leathers are detachable from the saddles cos they just poke through a slot in the flap and pull to adjust the length, so in theory one pair of strrups would do for every horse or pony I wanted to tack up as long as I didn't want a scene with two in

"They are expensive if you're wanting to make saddles to kit out your whole collection" Never mind the whole collection, I couldn't spend that much just on model stirrup irons even if I only had one horse to kit out.

Well, no, I couldn't justify it either but if you're paying a considerable amount of money for a fancy LSQ detailed tack set then it's a bit different to just making tack for fun and is more justifiable in the scale of things

Yeah, nice as they are I can't afford to pay that much for a set unless I was going to attempt something exceptionally realistic! I wish there was a way to buy those metal stirrups you get on some cheap flockie saddles, as they're perfectly scaled for Julips! I've used some on my own tack and am always on the lookout for more. It sucks there is no middle ground, it's either super-realistic really expensive stirrups (which a lot of people simply cannot afford to buy and are really kind of needlessly over-detailed for what many of us require anyway) or essentially nothing. I don't actually like super-realistic model tack anyway, I couldn't really care less about having perfect-looking stirrups on my Julips, but using other stuff for stirrups is a very long way from being ideal. Bent wire stirrups/D rings slip round on the leathers and the only jewellery charm stirrups I can get hold of are too small for most riders. Yet so far those are the only real alternatives to spending an absolute fortune on super-realistic ones because there's no 'middle ground' option, providing useable but affordable stirrups, ones that aren't so realistic or durable maybe but don't cost a fortune. (Also there's a real need for other model stuff like buckets. I've spent so much time trying to find decent buckets for Julips (I mean beyond Julip HOTY ones which had only a limited colour range and are now really hard to get anyway) but apparently they don't exist either.)

I was trying to find that site earlier on, thank you!
Which ones are best suited to Julips?

I was trying to find that site earlier on, thank you! Which ones are best suited to Julips? Depends on the rider you want them for - I have some of each size. The big ones will fit HOTY rider feet, the small ones are better for newer Original riders.

I took a couple of photos of the Horsing Around stirrups I bought - I got one pair of Julip-sized stirrups and one pair of Classic scale. They're beautifully detailed and well worth the money.
This is a Julip sized stirrup and a HOTY rider's foot
And a comparison with the classic scale stirrup:
