Very nice bun house. If tape won't stick I just superglue it on. I might have been tempted to try using hidden peg hinges for that type of hutch, i.e. a pin or peg stuck in both the top and bottom of the hinged side of the door, then slot those pins/pegs into holes in the door frame but if it's already assembled it might just wreck it now trying that. Tiny metal hinges? Remote control model plastic hinges cut down? Or just superglue the tape hinges on.

That's great! For hinges on mine I cut out some shiny silver cardboard from a toothpaste tube box and used that

Thank you I'll have another go with the hinges, pins would have been perfect if I'd known as I was making it but at this point I quite like the sound of shiny cardboard! Or glued-on tape/paper - lots of options to experiment with, thanks for that.

With christmas approaching it's worth mentioning that some crackers seem to be a good source of metallic thin cardboard (either the crackers themselves or the boxes they come in). I use some thin silver card that was the lining of a box of crackers for making fake/non-opening hinges.

Thanks the roof is that model railway powder stuff, but then I varnished it so it wouldn't shed everywhere and it changed colour and texture a lot. But I think it actually looks better than it did
