So we got to the show a little later than we thought (I underestimated how long it would take in the car) and I thought 'oh no, there'll be no spares left' went to the table and realised there were still quite a few! First is my beautiful Arab mare...her name is Elm Grove Steel My Heart (stable name Cariad). I actually did think to myself, if there was an Arab then I'd love to have one, and there she was! I was then told to 'get her in the Arab class quick' and minutes later there was a gorgeous red rosette next to her! She then won the championship much to my surprise (talk about beginners luck!) Next up...I've always had a soft spot for Labrador retrievers...so here's Honey! She looks so excitable and naughty! And then I caved in and bought this little curled up fox cub! He was sat there all day so I did the decent thing and rescued him inspired by Kits, I made him a little crate to curl up in. I don't know how impressed Sally will be when she finds out! I haven't a name for the fox cub yet, but there will be a photostory coming soon about him!

She looks so lovely in your pic - I was very tempted but went for her sister instead. XD I love the headcollar/leadrope choice too btw. Foxes must live in boxes, it's the rule now I think, lol.

She's so lovely, I really like the way her shading fades to very pale on her flanks and belly, and her quirky white face marking is great. EG's right, the newmarket red-gold-black colours look perfect on her. And aww, another foxinabox!

If those coloured buckets in your tack room used to be shot glasses in a previous life, I have the same ones Your Arab mare looks lovely in your pics, all the greys at the show were lovely weren't they! And the Newmarket colours look great on her

Oooh a sister? Do I sense a pairs class coming up? Yes, I quite agree, she'll have to have a matching Newmarket rug now George, I know what you mean, it brings her coat to life somehow! Haha Josie you've rumbled me I saw them in this random shop called Tiger and thought 'perfect!' Also great for entertaining, heh EG, that was the bargaining tool for me spending a fair bit in there...I offered them to other half for his enamel paints

Ohhh haha I see. It's AMAZING isn't it! I literally picked up everything wanting to put it in my basket, then told myself I needed to behave however I did buy some triangle flags (cross country jumps) a huge bag of chopped dill which will make awesome grass clippings and the aforementioned shot glasses! (what are bamboo socks btw?)

I buy loads of herbs from there for scenery - my winning scene at the show was covered in this stuff!
Bamboo socks are socks made from bamboo fibre - they sell stripy ones, but they're never matching pairs. XD

She's so beautiful Helen, she deserved those rosettes! I'm glad she brought you so much luck for your first show and it was so nice to meet you at last. That's a fantastic box for your fox too, he looks very happy with it! It's good you went back and got him - I had to behave and not go back for say, a quarter horse, hahah. P.S. Tiger has some crazy stuff... I almost bought a tiny shopping trolley to photograph my hamster in, but I decided I might actually be going past "likes taking cute photos" into "crazy pet lady" if I did that...

XD My life now consists of raiding cupboards and rummaging through shops thinking 'that would be brilliant for...' Omg Kits you so should have bought the shopping trolley!
