Here is my lovely roan family horse from the last spares' night: The girls on the yard were rather worried about a fox club with no family, so they made up an old box for him with a blanket and a cushion. Look how smug he looks I love him!

I like her more in your photos than I did on spares day - the white sock really suits her Love the fox in a box!

I like her more in your photos than I did on spares day - the white sock really suits her Love the fox in a box! I didn't realise she had the sock until she arrived, she's so sweet Neither has a name yet, I liked your suggestion of "Candy" for the mare Helen but it makes me think of a cute little pony not a big sensible-looking horse like this one! Nothing else has come to mind so far though. Thanks for the nice comments everyone Foxinabox will get even more smug hearing all those compliments.

I think she looks very sensible and safe, the first name that came to me was Mavis! Makes her sound like someone's lovely aunt

My ex's last name was Nicholson...I always wanted a little boy called Jack...hehe Ours is Forrest - I had a field day tormenting my husband with name suggestions. Rain, Oak, Wendy, Delonda (called Dee for short) I had some one laugh at me on the phone when I told them my name...Heather Forrest. *sigh*

My grandad used to love making up names, he'd always play tricks on me like 'Do you remember Paddy from the club? Paddy O'Doors?' Also Teresa Green and Ben Dover...

the roans are coming out so lovely at the moment! and cute foxy. Awww my grandma, rest her soul, was called Mavis we were talking about baby names the other night (we're not with child yet!) and I said 'oh Mavis would be sweet...' My other half's surname is Davies i would have loved a cool name like mavis davies! i think people shy away from names like that but plenty of kids love something that's a bit different.
