...are spoiled beyond measure? I've been sorting out my tack and rug drawers and well, this happened. XD (The best part is that as most of them are wearing rugs right now, this isn't even all of them!)

Some of mine are more spoilt than others. I just ordered some more fabric to make Wizzy a patterned stable rug (even though she already has a plain stable rug) and I'm intending to make her a turnout rug too. But some of them don't even have one rug yet (they'll get them eventually though). And I don't know why I keep putting myself through the hell that is sewing binding on summer sheets but I just made one for Loki, but whether he'll actually ever wear it I don't know.

Urgh, tell me about it! I hate sewing bias binding as it takes forever, but it looks do much nicer than ribbon whenever I've tried that, lol

Urgh, tell me about it! I hate sewing bias binding as it takes forever, but it looks do much nicer than ribbon whenever I've tried that, lol Normal rugs aren't so bad (except I really hate sewing). I make them all from either double layers of felt or fabric backed with felt so I can get them really neat with invisible stitching. It's just really time consuming, but summer sheets are a nightmare, with only a single layer of thin fabric if I try to do the invisible/internal stitches on the binding they always end up showing through somewhere I don't want them. I tried this one the other way, stitching along the binding, through both sides of it and the fabric all in one go, so the stitches are visible from the outside. It looks fine but it wasn't any easier, the fabric kept trying to come out from between the binding as I was stitching and it took so long to go round it twice. I don't think I'll be making many more summer sheets, they're too much hassle.

Most of mine don't even have one rug to their name, let alone spare ones! I also have rather empty tack shop to fill as well...
btw EG - Green Ginger in Alti has closed down - actually it seems to be falling down! I'm not sure what happened but the empty shop is fenced off with masonry on the pavement and a metal joist in the brickwork above the windows. I'm told the owners had hoped to reopen it but have now decided not to. The guy who used to have the market stall hasn't come back. There was another patchwork/fabric/craft stall that used to come to the new producers market once a month but she hasn't been for a while either which is a shame because she had some nice unusual fabrics for rugs. The only place left locally now is the Hobbycraft at Broadheath - not much use!
