Here's my two spares from this weekend's batch Fjord foal! I've wanted one of these for ages, but always seemed to miss them, now at long last Starri has managed to sire a foal I went through some real fjord pedigrees online and picked him a name, Ostar, which matches his dad's nicely and is easier to pronounce than a lot of them, heh With Starri, who looks quite proud! And the second one I managed to nab, I'm surprised she didn't go very quickly like the rest! Part bred arab mare in piebald I went with EG's advice over a coloured OTT browband, but I liked her mane loose too much to pull it all out and replace with plaits, so she's only going to be half correctly turned out I did say if I managed to get home from the 1,000 Guineas race meeting in time and got a spare, I'd name it after whatever won the race, so her show name will be Legatissimo, but I really need a stable name for her as well (I did consider 'Guinea' or 'Guineas' but that just makes me think of guinea pigs XD ) Her other side, I can never show off markings as well on the off side cos the mane gets in the way, but I promise they're nice from both directions, lol And a close up of the bridle I made for her yesterday evening : The only problem with it is the bead 'bit' will keep rolling down and away from her mouth, I don't want to put a mouthpiece in cos then the mouth looks too open all the time even if the bridle is off, so I might try using a piece of thread just to hold it in place, that worked with my donkey!
