Hi, I've had a go making stirrups out of wire but I'm terrible at it! I was wondering if anyone knew where to get 1/12 size stirrups Thanks

Lenham Pottery is a good place to get all manor of harness and general tack making bits and bobs, the lady that runs it is very helpful, I've enclosed the link below on the stirrup page but the previous 'harness fittings' page has sheets of buckles amongst other things, she does 1/8th scale as well as 1/12th scale so you just have to be a bit careful which size you pick.

Roughly, although I can't make saddles myself so haven't got a set here - the person to ask is EG, although this rather reveals who sent her mystery Christmas stirrups

So, it was yooooou! :I xD They're too narrow for Julip rider's feet, but fine for customised doll's house figures and homemade dolls! I haven't made a tack set with them yet but I'll be sure to post about them when I do! Here's one with a HOTY rider, as you can see this is as far as they can get their feet into it!

Haha I never did try to put them on a foot - ah well! At least they look nice and stirrupy (on one side...), if not very functional for Julip riders!

Linhame (Lenham?) Pottery ones won't fit the riders foot either but are in much better scale.

Thanks for this tip kits - I've bought some and they're ideal for Originals child riders, a bargain too! I might even use some on making jewellery!
The Lenham Pottery 1:12 stirrups are fine for child riders, I've got some 1:8 ones which I use for my vintage riders with big feet.
