I just bought 2 new julips on eBay, under £5 each! So happy. They're not originals but I can't complain really. I'll post some pictures when I figure out how... Ones 'bay' but has no shading and the others palomino. I hope to customise them but I currently have 3 other models that I am drastically customising! Including one magpie model I painstakingly glued together (I'm not gonna try and describe how that went down). I began to realise how busy I am with a pile of models to re-do and a pile of schoolwork with it! :S I'm sorry about the rambling... I think it may be the Irish bloodlines (no offence to anyone who's Irish, I think rambling takes a lot of skills to master)

Ooh, bargains! Yes, HOTYs are very different to the Originals but they're great for customising!

Good luck with the customs! I have two HOTY customs (not by me), and I really like them. They don't have the poseability of an original, but customs are a fun way to get a breed/pose that the current Julip line up doesn't offer. (hint: drafters!)

I am certainly looking forward to their arrivals, they have been shipped off already! Currently sculpting my little magpie pony, she'll be a little welsh pony. I sculpted her mane and tail because I don't have any mohair and it's a lot easier

I'll give myself a challenge and one will be a little gypsy vanner. I'm certain they don't have a gypsy vanner mould... I'm not sure about the second, I'll need a little inspiration from the riding school. To the yard!

Yeah, there's the Cob Mare, Farm Cob, Show Cob and Cob Stallion, but they all have clean legs unless you get them customised by Julip : if you're after ordering one with a lot of fluff already moulded on you need the feathered version of the Farm Cob, they're perfect in piebald or skewbald - take a look at this chap :

I've figured out what I'm going to paint them like, I am determined to have a julip model of all 24 of our horses at the riding school. Might have to get their buddies that are owned by different people, wouldn't want them to get lonely since I don't have any mohair and I've never haired a model anyway I have to keep their original manes and tails. I am painting them both to look like Chloe- a gypsy vanner mare and Pixie- a 30+ year old retired pony my mum used to ride. I'll be sure to keep you all updated. I already have loads of ideas for them and they're not even here! Here are the *real* horses: Attachments:

As for the horses I am currently working on, my biggest project is turning a plastic toy horse I bought from a charity shop for 50p into a gorgeous dressage horse. I just finished the braids, it's only my 2nd time I've ever sculpted them and they turned out ok! Attachments:
