My bundle of Julips arrived last week, but today I was bundled up for a meeting on campus that I braved the snowfall for some pictures. It was snowing when they arrived, too, so they have weathery names. First up is Vortex (for last year's terrible storm). This was a custom order for my birthday back in September, and I certainly don't mind the wait when the results are this lovely. The picture is a bit dark and the snow too deep, but he's a pretty light dun with leg barring. Second is Flurry, a spare leftover from the live show. I can only imagine how lovely the others were if this was a leftover! The furry feet are fitting for a horse enjoying some wintery pasture time before the next show season. The picture's not great, but the snowflakes were adorable in her mane. (it also seems that I only buy bay spares, even though my customs have all been other colors) Third is another birthday custom, though apparently he didn't get his own picture (it was cold--I was hurrying). He's inspired by my childhood Shetland Pony, who actually was a palomino in the summer and a cream puff ball in the winter. I'm calling him Aputi, an Inuit word for snow on the ground.

And because I can only upload three pictures per post: more photos! New ponies playing in the snow. Aputi does not seem to be a fan. Final snowflakes on the Julips shot. They'll need blankets for the winter, but that's going to wait a month. Back to studying for my exam!

Lovely, I can't pick a favourite! I will admit to picking up that cob several times at the show though and being quite tempted...she was really nice!

Elli beat me to it, but yes, it's an Irish Draught. I've been wanting one, and I thought he fitted a lighter, riding type Fjord well. The roan is a Working Hunter, or so I'm told. She has a very refined head, and I really like the roans lately. I'm just happy with my growing collection of ponies.

Yes, it's a working hunter with added leg fluff - it's the mould that was cast from one of the HOTY moulds, I quite like them too

Great haul of ponies I liked that roan at the show as well. And I've never thought of the ID as particularly fjord-y, but he looks really good in the colouring. Laura's done a great job of the hairing of the mane as well!

Lovely ponies. The WHP looks so different with added feather and I love the colouring on the Pit pony.

Lovely selection of moulds and colours - the ID works well as a Fjord, I love the added feather on the working hunter and the pit pony is just gorgeous!

Laura really did a fantastic job with the customs, and I know I wasn't being easy (sorry!). I'm thinking varnish roan semi-leopard appaloosa next... Or maybe a heavy sabino on the Arabian mare...
