For anyone I've not told yet, seeing as I'm going around telling everyone how nice it was, the Julip Live yesterday was my first show and I loved every minute it was also my first time at the spares table, where I may have made just a few purchases under Elli's guidance... (Not that I wasn't just as bad for encouraging Julip purchasing, there was a beautiful sooty palomino Arab Champion who I said I *couldn't* buy because I already have one on that mould and wanted new moulds, so basically, Elli *had* to buy her because she was too nice for both of us to ignore...) Unfortunately I don't have nice backgrounds/set ups sorted since I moved house but I still wanted to share photos.
First up is this lovely speckly Arab, if anyone knows what to call her colour I'd love to know - we decided she was chestnut just so she could enter a colour class, but no-one was sure.
At first I was told "if you see one you like, hang on to it so no-one else nabs it" so I was hanging onto the Arab... and I really just picked up the Connemara for a look... but then I didn't want to put him down! Those nose spots and blue eyes
And I'd kept looking at the farm cob but it was never a mould on my sort-of mental wishlist, only then I decided that was a silly reason not to buy him and picked him up too.
Out of the cute new yard pets I picked the one who looked most like Bumble, the rabbit I got for my 11th birthday pictured with Georgie's new Bumble and my old Bumble as it were.
I would advise anyone else going to their first show to stick their fingers in their ears and hum when people start saying things like "if you didn't bring enough cash you can pay later on paypal"... but then you wouldn't get to go home with a little herd of new Julips, which would be sad! I'm super happy with these guys, thank you Laura for painting up such lovely spares and thank you everyone else for such a friendly, fun day
