I've picked up my custom bodies and paints for the first time in a few years (as is always the case) and this HOTY body has received a makeover.
Before - a previous attempt at a repaint had left the plastic all stained:
I wanted to do an Appaloosa because HOTY "Banner" was my favourite Julip from my small childhood collection. While sorting photos recently I found this old one of him (he's safe in the loft ) I found an approximately similar real horse on google and here's the After photos: I'm dead happy with how she turned out, the roaning took ages and the spots were awkward but I'm pleased with the result! The mohair also took a lot of taming
I've painted/am painting quite a few old bodies at the moment (my mum moved house after 26 years and produced quite a lot of model horse related stuff from HER loft), they aren't all julips but I've started posting them on my blogspot if anyone would like to look I don't use Facebook any more so if anyone wants to connect on blogger/instagram/elsewhere it would be good to keep in touch!

Aw thank you! I don't get to do many tbh but over the years have done a fair few. You should have a go, it's really enjoyable!
