Kicking off the Holiday Julip unwrapping, hihi! Because oh, I had the prettiest parcel to unwrap last night at Sinterklaas Eve... I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this little boy. <3 I hadn't seen any photos of him, so it was a great surprise! I put Laura up for quite a challenge, but wow, she did an in-cre-di-ble job! His colour is stunning and there's just so much detail in all his little markings. He's more then I could ever imagine! Happy (early) holidays everyone, can't wait to see all your Christmas Julips pop up here later this month! There's some more photos of him on my Flickr page: www.flickr.com/photos/stalwollepluis/Newest addition to the Wollepluis yard by Stal Wollepluis, on Flickr

Oh wow, he's unusual, what a sweet face. Is he based on a real horse?

Oh wow, he's unusual, what a sweet face. Is he based on a real horse? Aww thank you! Yes he is! He's after a really lovely American Paint Horse breeding stallion here in The Netherlands.

I'm so relieved you like him, he was a bit of a challenge to paint!

He's lovely, what a fascinating colour - I've seen plenty with ermine spots and patches in the leg markings, but never one with so many spots in the face marking, too. Wonderful job copying that pattern into paintwork!
