** December 20th by Jazz B. ** Merry Christmas/Happy holidays from all the humans, horses and pets at Pond Farm. A Short Advent Story: Jim had been hard at work decorating the yard. Alice had left clear instructions to get the mince pies out of the oven, whilst she was teaching at the xmas pony club rally.
Snow was forecast for tomorrow and Alice was keen to have everything on the yard winter ready. Unfortunately for Jim, he got so distracted in his decorating he was too slow to notice Stan and Angus had escaped and were making a run for the mince pies! After a long day teaching, Alice set about wrapping her families presents in the tack room. It was, afterall the only place she had true peace and quiet.....from humans anyways. The following morning the boys were left a note from Alice. "Lads, please please can you get a xmas tree from the woods. A sensible sized one. I'm off to exercise Bill ready for hunting on boxing day." The snow came as predicted. Not a pair to be put off by some weather, Joe and Jim set off on a winter ride into the woods. Jim straight away identified the biggest tree. "Joe, this is the one! Alice will love it " Joe held his head in hands and started to regret being best friends with his sisters partner. Joe gestured to the smaller darker one, however Jim had already got the saw and rope out. Joe looked over to Zephyr and Mr. Darcy, the looks on the show ponies faces said they felt the same as Joe. "I'm sure she will love Jim" said Joe, knowing Jim's good intentions and also knowing it would be a complete waste of time trying to convince him otherwise. Blissfully unaware of the goings on with the boys, Alice was having some much needed time to herself with Bill and Mutts. A tree had fallen in the snow storm last night. Presenting Alice with the best xmas present of all, the perfect log for a perfect xmas ride.

** December 21st by Sue B. ** Taffy and Tye are ready to take on the Shetland Grand National at The London International Horse Show. (Olympia sounded much better.....) Nothing says Christmas like the London International. Back on the BBC this year as well, even if it was red button! Sorry folks, ran out of time for a new pic, and it's not solstice related either, but Happy Yule and Merry Christmas from all at Okarnill Stud. Posting early as I'm working as well as seeing the Sunrise
