Oh, that's wonderful! I had never seen that before, thank you for sharing it. I can easily see how that would lead to a lifelong love of Julips. My husband always asks me why I prefer my Julips over any other model horse and that sums it up perfectly.

That is so lovely! I love the bit about julips transporting you away for hours of fun - I still get like that when I go home and they're all out on the shelf

My husband always asks me why I prefer my Julips over any other model horse and that sums it up perfectly. My other half always says 'why Julips' and I say it's because they're so loveable, and they've got naughty faces which other models don't he likes Breyers and Stones, which are nice but lack personality. It's like having your own stable yard (I can't afford a real horse so having these is the next best thing) with horses that have personalities and owners It also takes me back to the days where I'd sit in my bedroom for hours on end, making rugs, tack and jumps, but sadly, housework and mounting the crusade against dental decay kind of gets in the way

With mass produced breyers, you identify the model but I agree it doesn't have a personality! Julips are special- a model that everyone identifies like a real horse - no copies!

loved reading the artical and isn't is fabulous that a UK firm is still going strong and made the same way. I am glad I found Julip as they are so like my Thelwells I used to collect cheeky faces you can spend hours playing with them. In fact I have now stopped collecting other models (only if a very special one comes up) to concentrate on Julip

This is exactly how I feel about them too! I still have some Breyers and other models but my Julips mean the most to me.
