Lovely day, such a nice atmosphere at the show. I'm sorry if I didn't do a lot of chatting, I was kind of occupied. I did try to model all the items in the raffle for you though!

You did a great job Manda, I'm very aware that trying to control a hall full of mad julip people chatting and literally squee-ing over all the horses is a bit like herding cats! I had a brilliant day too, absolutely shattered now with the worlds biggest bags under my eyes from generalised lack of sleep the last few days Love the rosettes that were in the goody bag, a few of us were saying that those of us that have the big 70th rosette too now have the same one in three scales! They'll all look good displayed together also really enjoyed seeing everyone from last year as well as some really lovely new faces

I can't thank everybody enough, this was SUCH a fantastic day! I came away with two new horses and some animals, which brings my Originals count up to a rather staggering 60! I've taken LOADS of photos - my phone kept running out of space so I had to frantically upload them then delete them to make room, but I eventually ran out of both data and battery so it'll be sometime next week before I get a proper blog post up with all the goss and pony pictures! (And I feel the need to make some tiny miniature wrens now too... )

Katie was very pleased with her 2 orange places her horses got and she even let me sleep in until 8am! Thank you all for putting up with her over excited loudness We both love this show as it's so relaxed and she can take part with her own horses too no matter how rubbed they are and how much carefresh and hay is still stuck in the tails

I had the BEST day ever! It was so nice to meet everyone in person at last, and so much pony goodness to nom at! Thank you so much Laura for putting it on, the fab food, the gorgeous rosettes, the goody bags and the stunning spares! Manda, the raffle was brilliantly marshalled George, I caved in too and bought a curled up fox cub he's sat watching me on the side with little foxy eyes, heh. Did you get the setters in the end? Kits, thank you for saving me a space and Christine for making Bear's day by meeting Tam I shall upload pictures on here for those not on Facebook!

Tam loves meeting his fans. XD I wish I'd bought one of the standing foxes, but considering how much I spent yesterday it's probably just as well I didn't! XD Maybe at the next live...

It was Laura who saved everyone's spaces, I love the little name signs she puts out! It was so nice to see old friends and meet new people for the first time. Hope to see you all again soon. I'll start uploading photos too Did you see the little Arctic foxes? They were a lovely idea!

I saw Elli's sitting arctic fox, so beautiful, I love how they have the detailed ear-edges and everything instead of just being plain white all over. I did buy the setters, Helen, how could I resist (or let them get split up and be lonely!) so they just had to join my little pet-collection. I was a bit sad this morning to find my lovely grey ID from the show had suffered in the box on the way home, and got the paint rubbed off his ears and hocks where he'd touched the bubblewrap lining my box, I should've put him back in his plastic bag instead of just packing him in a rug like the others wore (didn't realise fresher paint was more fragile like that!). I wasn't able to match his orginal pale grey shading well enough, but with a little creative use of the black paint I've given him dark edges round his ears, which hides the white damage perfectly and kind of looks like he was painted that way to start with, heh. His hocks are also touched up and look good as new, and I've learnt my lesson about safely travelling newbies - so a warning to everyone, don't let bubblewrap come into direct contact with too-new Julips! I need to have a naming session now, and photographs tomorrow weather permitting, then you can all meet the new additions and see the lovely rosettes

Sorry I didn't get online yesterday to say 'thank you' sooner, but a HUGE thank you to Laura and Richard for organising the show, and thank you to everyone else involved (including Manda for her hard work in getting everyone organised) I had a brilliant day, as always at Julip shows - it was lovely to catch up with old friends and to meet some new ones (I hope the show lived up to the expectations of all of the newcomers who have previously heard us raving about them on here!), and the chance to come home with some new Julips is always welcomed The prizes, goody bags and lunch were all very generous and much appreciated. Thanks also to Caitlin for the handmade rugs (just need to decide who gets to wear them now, I couldn't make my mind up yesterday!) and to Jan for her excellent skills as a human sat nav on the journey to and from the show
