Hi! Does anyone have an archive or list (or something) of the Julip Originals catalogue models? I am trying to update my records and I have a couple of what I think are catalogue models that I would love to put names and dates etc. with. Thank you!

It's a good idea for a forum post isn't it? Maybe a little sub-section with individual posts for each model, and people. could post photos of all their examples!

Those are the two I am not sure on names and dates, I also have an "Oliver" who I know was the RDA pony of the year, but I don't have any other info for him. If you can help I would be very grateful

Top one is 'Flame', not sure on dates though. The hunter isn't a catalogue model though, by the paintwork and glossed feet he's probably part of the 'Realism Range' from when Helen was the painter.

That's lovely thank you The Realism Range, what sort of time frame would that have been? would he be a one off then, like the spares? I have no memory of how he came to join the herd at all, which is terrible, poor boy!!

Thank you for posting all the catalogues George, that's really helpful.
I would still really like Jigsaw!

I liked the roan pony and foal, and the dark chestnut connemara from the last catlogue, but I think by that stage so many of us were getting spares and special orders we didn't really go for the catalogue models much. I have a Poppy who I got second hand a bit later, along with her special order brother who was a piebald family horse, I named him Pippin to kind of match her

That's a good idea, shall we put it as a section in the 'Conga Line' or make a separate thread for it? I think a seperate board would be good, if we want to have it open for everyone to contribute to as a gallery like EG said - that way there could be a post for each model by name, with a text description and list of the years it was in the catalogue in the first post, then people can reply with photos of the ones they own. The more popular model was, the more pictures it will get (My bet for most popular ever will be firmly on Storm, he was around for years and there seems to be loads of him out there! )

I love the idea of a gallery of models, but what about also having an ID site, like Identify Your Breyer? That way even if people delete their account, move images, or any of the other things that cause broken links, there's still an easy to search photo resource.
I would be happy to whip something up on one of the free sites, like Wix, if people would be willing to provide information (like George's fabulous list up there) and donate pictures.

Good idea! ^ No I never liked him that much, and I didn't like the colour on it's own either, so even Storm coloured other moulds I don't really like a huge amount.

I hope I'm not stepping on anybody's toes by doing this, but I whipped up a start on the ID site. There's much to be done and the pictures are just placeholders to see how everything would look, but it's a start. The American Quarter Horse has a prototype Catalogue page (with a donkey picture, sorry ). It wouldn't take me too long to make one for everyone and then start plugging in the information. The molds listed are the current ones from the Julip Originals page. I can add the vintage models and the HOTY ones if people would like. I was thinking an animal and rider section could be fun after the horses are taken care of. Any feedback would be much appreciated. I'll be in the garden most of the day, but I can get back to it this evening. Oh yes, you might want the link Julip Identification

No bother, I had a good time fooling around with Wix anyway. My only problem is that now I'm having doubts about whether I should be bothering to write my own site or if I shouldn't just get a Wix account.
