For anyone who is interested in making Julip head collars or is after some unusual coloured thin ribbon, I've just been in Poundland and they have bags of nice assorted stripy ribbon which is approx. 3mm wide in a variety of colour ways which would be ideal for tack making.

Oooh, I'll need to pop in soon and have a look! I need to go in there and buy some more wool for my mum - she's got a bit of a knitting obsession at the moment and has nearly finished all the stuff I got her for christmas!

I know a few people couldn't find the ribbon in their local Poundland store and it's been out of stock in our one for quite a few weeks but it's now back in abundance and as well as the stripy ribbon there some rather fetching sparkly stuff as well!

Here is an example of this Poundland striped stuff in action, I made a headcollar for Rodney so you can see how it looks (would be ideal for trad scale too, as it's a bit chunky to suit smaller/finer classics)

I FINALLY found some in one of the Glasgow Poundlands but only in the big shop, hidden away nearly under the shelves! There were only three so I just grabbed them irrespective of colour, lol
