One of the most exciting things about a Julip Live show is always seeing what's for sale on the spares table This year I managed to resist all the equine temptations because the ones I liked most (that were left by the time I got there!) were all quite close colours to ones I already had in those moulds, so I was good and left them for other people! But at the end of the table was the pets corner, and some really exciting new additions to the range
BUNNIES A really lovely idea - and very popular judging by how many people came home with a bunny or two or more, heheh. I chose one black and white, and one plain black rabbit, but there were lots of other colours too and I'm sure I'll end up with a whole herd (Thanks to Paul for finding out the correct word for a group of tame rabbits)
I love how the ears are in slightly different positions, it really makes them look individual and lets us pick breeds for them based on how they sit as well as the colours, my banded one will be a dutch rabbit and the other one is a netherland dwarf!
I've named them Thomas and Bumble
Thomas with Thomas on his head!
And the other surprise, pheasants!
I love them, they're so detailed and realistically painted, I knew I needed one as soon as I saw them but of course I couldn't buy just half of a pair and have one lonely little bird, so I brought home one of each
They're such a nice idea cos they fit brilliantly into the country theme of Julips (much better than an ostrich, Julipfarm ), they can be pottering about in the background of scenes, or horses' show photos with a field background, or maybe they're a bit tame and come in to the yard.
Such tiny detailed faces!
