My little thunder is permenantly having a bad hair day and I have tried many a time to tame it and nothing seems to work, so I've decided he can be my next mohairing victim! The only problem is I can't decide what colour hair to use, should I go with the same colours as he already has or pure black or grey or grey with black streaks or light grey with dark grey bits or.... HELP!

I would agree, black would look very striking!

I'm going to be contrary and say primarily light with some darker grey mixed in. XD

I'm going to be very unhelpful and say I think he'd be nice with a dark mixed grey

My vote is for dark mixed to emphasize the graying out. Black seems like it would make him look more like a blue roan (unless that's what you want?).

I think the grey Julip youngsters look good as blue roans, cos in reality a foal or yearling would never have greyed out that much that young, they're usually still pretty steely grey when they're two or three so it seems kind of funny when they have white grey or pale dappled greys on the foal and yearling moulds. Giving them dark points and dark hair makes them look like roans and much more likely to happen!
