Introducing 'Megan'! I made her from scratch, sculpting the head, hands and boots from polymer clay and her body from wire and pipecleaners. I made her jodhs but cheated a bit with the jumper as it came off a really awful doll's house figure (originally a really naff looking sailor suit, lol) and the neckline was too low so I just glued on a fabric sample I had in my stash to the front and an equally naff looking felt collar to hide it. XD The hat is a Julip one. You're so good at making your riders, EG! I need to introduce a new child rider too actually, although I cheated and bought a Julip one

Wow! I can't even imagine trying to make my own rider. Are the clothes removable/exchangeable? Just wondering if you do multiple outfits per doll or if they only have the one role.

As much as I'd like to make removable clothes it's just too fiddly! XD At some point this year I'd like to sculpt and cast some basic hands, hats and boots so I can make my riders a little easier to produce as half the time it's those bits that take the longest to do!

Did you make your boots (on the person)? They look very good!

Yup, the only thing I didn't sculpt was the hat! (And actually the boots look awful in reality, the camera is being kind. XD)

Your getting soooo good at them. Do you restore vintage riders?

Thank you! No, I've never even touched a vintage, let alone restored one!

Want to try? Her hat is disintergrating and she's got cracking hands. I'm scared if I try her leg or arm will fall off

I think you'd be better off asking Manda - she's the resident Julip doctor!
