For a long time I've felt that Greystones needed a proper office. I've always had a tack room but I've had to squash everything in it, including feed and it didn't really work. Also, when your yard becomes this big...

...really, one needs an office
So I took to eBay and ordered a 1/12 scale dolls house shed which came a la flat pack, so I glued it all together with Gorilla Glue and let that dry. I then mixed some filler and applied it on the floor, stippling it with a sponge and tools to make it look like concrete on barn floors.
The tricky bit then was trying to create a breeze block effect for the walls. I applied some filler (quite thickly) which wasn't ideal as when I tried to lay lines in it with a ruler, the ruler 'tore' the filler and it looked messy. I then mixed it thinner but the lines didn't make enough of an indent, but by the third wall I had hit happy medium!
Once that was done, it was just a case of putting all the props in and making them as and when I had time.

The picture is of Charlie, a horse at my riding stables, that I printed because it looked so artsy, and then made frame out of matchsticks painted with a gold marker. The desk was just balsa wood, stained with dark brown acrylic paint thinned with water. I printed little photos of 'real' pets and models, and the wall chart I crumpled up a bit to make it look worn and old.

I got this idea from EG to have a hat hiring basket but really, with Covid I suppose that isn't allowed any more, but we'll have a bit of artistic license and say that they are disinfected between each use

But there is a nice 'hands, face, space' poster so I like to think it's Covid secure! I also printed mini signs off and laminated them with sellotape. And it wouldn't be an office without the Racing Post!

You can see the wall texture a bit better here. I just painted it with white acrylic paint which brightened it a bit. The posters were printed from Google, and I added some scraps of tape to make it look authentic.

These books took ages to make! The little horse trophy was from a tutorial on YouTube by Daisy Stalls, and the snacks on the second shelf are from a tutorial by Desktop Stables.
