First part of my Christmas order is here! (I usually take opportunity to order before Christmas, but I'm more than fine with getting the ponies after New Year, or even waiting a bit longer than that.) This is Magia, a portrait of my favourite horse I've ever ridden. The real Magia lived in stables owned by my local university. I got her from time to time during my riding lessons. Later I studied veterinary medicine for a year (before I dropped out), and I managed to get this mare for my weekly rides as part of my PE during academic year 2006/2007 - seems like ages ago 😅 She was a sweetheart but had a tendency to have her own opinion during rides - but don't we all remember the ones with strong personalities the most? Magia was registered as a pony. Her sire was a German Riding Pony, dam was a now rare and unusual cross between Arabian and Murinsulan (also known as Medimurje horse), a small draught breed from Croatia. (There used to be a significant population of the latter in Poland after WWII, but since the use of horses in farming declined drastically, they were later used for crossing with other breeds, and thus they died out in my country.) I know that she was sold and left the stable in 2013. I have no idea what happened to her, or if she's even still alive. I've been wanting her portrait for a long time in model horse form. During last Spares Night there was a skewbald Show Cob that gave me an idea that this mould could be perfect for her! Thank you Laura for making her! ❤ And real Magia (I never took any photos of her, all I have is what I was able to find online.)

Ah, lovely, the ones which are portraits of much-loved real horses are always so special, and she makes a very handsome Julip!
