Hello, I need to sell most of my vintage Julips due to moving house. From reading the boards it sounds like eBay may be the best option, but if anyone reading this is interested please do let me know and I can post more details. I was also wondering about whether to sell horses and riders together or separately? There doesn't seem to be so much interest in riders, so not sure if they'd sell by themselves, but on the other hand, people might not want the rider if I sell as a set. I have six models to sell: Lipizzaner; Jumping Horse; Arab Stallion; Handy Hunter; Highland; New Forest. They are in fair to good condition, with differing degrees of leg stiffness but no gumminess or major body decay. Most of the riders have lost mobility, especially in the arms, and there are a few wobbly ankles. Also a couple of slightly weird looking cats and a hay bag. Oh, and a horse box. All were bought in the 1970s (my first one was 1974 - I still have the box and the postage was 10p!). Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks! (I did try to attach a small image but got a msg saying the forum had exceeded it's attachment space limit, so here's a link to the image on Pinterest - hope it works: www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/443745369540959453/ - Vintage Julips )

Wow they look to be in fabulous condition! eBay would probably be your best bet to maximise value. Prices do fluctuate but there has been strong demand in recent times for vintages in good condition.

You have a really lovely collection with quite a few sought after Julips like the jumping horse that are quite rare, your best place for getting the most money for them is e-bay, the vintages are going for good prices at the moment, the riders are almost as popular as the horses , so i wouldn't think you would have much trouble selling those, even the pets and accessories will sell, there is quite a market out there for everything, so you should do very well! Just take some good photos of them and try and be as accurate as you can with the description, especially if they are stiff, or have wires showing, i'm sure anyone getting them will be absolutely thrilled

Thanks so much for the replies - really helpful. I'll try them on eBay, then, and see what happens. It'll be sad to see them go, but yes, hopefully they'll make some other Julip collectors happy :-).

Hi, just posting to say I've finished listing all the Julip models, riders and accessories that I'm selling on eBay. There was supposed to be another pony but I chickened out! So now I'm left with a horse, 2 ponies, 2 riders and a foal. I'm so glad there's such an active and enthusiastic community of collectors out there still appreciating these wonderful models, and who will look after my horses and ponies in their new homes! Good luck to anyone bidding, and thanks again for your replies and comments.
