... a tiny human and a rug for Waldkönig!
I'd actually love to post this on Facebook too, but for some odd reason I haven't been able to post, comment or like anything for the last couple of days. Happy I still get to share some photos on here!
As I plan to go to Lake District Live this year, and very much intend not to leave making things to the last minute, I've slowly been getting back into crafting. I'd like to say: one project at a time, but as you can see here that didn't quite happen.
Greatly inspired by the tartan fabrics Tomás has used for his rugs, I had to source some myself and make some of my ponies a stable rug out of it. Waldkönig, being my latest addition to the yard and him having such a nice sturdy bod to make a big rug for, was first! I still need to make the straps and buckles, but as I like to try something different with each rug I make I still have to make up my mind about what design of straps to make.
The little more exciting thing I'm working on - or at least I find it to be - is my first ever tiny human! I've to be honest and tell you I've got absolutely no idea what I'm doing and kind of coming up with how to make things as I go along. Today I managed to sculpt a face and two hands out of fimo clay and paint on her face! I've to say I especially loved painting her features (and her freckles especially), but boy was it a tricky thing to do! Greatest respect to Laura, Richard and Jane for being able to paint on all those eyes and faces time after time!
I've no idea what step is next now... I still have to make her some boots and a hat and then figure out how to make her a sturdy armature (without having her fall apart) and give her hair, hehe! Guess I'll figure it out as I go along, but some good hints into the right direction are always welcome! It's a good thing I've got two Julip riders as a guide!
