JULIP ORIGINALS LIVE SHOW
SATURDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 2020
Littlemore Village Hall, Railway Lane, Oxford, OX4 4PY
DUE TO CORONAVIRUS THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED!
The hall has now been confirmed for Saturday 19th September 2020, there will be a lot more details nearer the time, my apologies to anyone that can't make it but it was the only date that was available to me.
All the information will be posted on Facebook as well as the Julip forum over the coming months but I wanted to give everyone as much time as possible to arrange transport or hotels as well as trying to get the time off work if necessary.
There will also be a photo show on the forum around that time for anyone who is unable to attend the Live.
This year also marks Julip's 75th Anniversary so hopefully we can have a very special show!
Hi - I'm new to the forums and would love to come along to this. I've never done or visited a show before though, so a total newbie (although I've got my childhood Julips and a few newer ones in the stables!) What sort of time does the day usually finish? Trying to get an idea of whether I should book 1 night in the area or 2... Also, I don't seem to be able to join the FB group, I've requested a couple of times now
Hi, welcome to the forum From memory, I think we’re usually finished by about 5pm...? I usually set off straight after the show and drive back up to Cumbria - depending on the traffic I get home 10:30-12ish I think Not sure why you’re struggling to join the FB group, maybe try PMing juliporiginals with your FB name and Laura can look into it for you?
If you're trying to join the fb group Julip Model Horses I dont think that it's moderated any more so that may explain why you're having trouble. I think that it was set up by the previous owner of Julip Model Horses Ltd (Annabel). If that is the case try joining Just Julips as that where the julip posts are. If you're trying to join Just Julips and having trouble then try pming Laura/juliporiginals.

I hope everyone is staying well during these rather worrying times.
Just a quick update on the live show, the hall is currently closed until the end of June when they will review the situation.
We are keeping our fingers crossed and will be putting up the schedule over the next few weeks but I have put off ordering the rosettes at the moment until we know for definite if the show is likely to go ahead. (We will still have a photo show either way!)
Please be aware that it may have to be cancelled at short notice before booking hotels or any sort of travel plans you may have to make.
We will of course let you know as soon as there are any changes.

I hope everyone is still staying well and keeping safe.
Another update on the show, as yet I have not had any sort of new message from the hall as to when and how it will open, there have been no new government guidelines as regards a time frame for halls and they seem to remain firmly closed unless being used as food banks or for other important community business.
I fear that if or when they do re-open, the numbers that will be allowed inside at any one time may be limited to a much lower number that we would envisage at our show, which may mean that holding the show would not really be an option for this year but we continue to keep our fingers crossed.
Meanwhile I will be putting a schedule up on this board over the next few days, as even if the live show doesn't take place, we will still try and have a special day with a photo show for everyone to enter (which will be the same schedule posted) with some rather pretty rosettes and prizes and hopefully a spares page as well!
I will try and keep everyone up to date with any extra news but as mentioned before it may be unwise to book any sort of hotel or make travel plans for the show this year, as the likelihood of it being held is looking slightly less as the weeks go by.
