My latest order was a bit large, so I broke it down into two blog posts to avoid spamming the forum with photos. I may have a slight pet problem DalmatiansCatsLord Maleficum (witch doctor), the voodoo rooster, was a last minute addition to the order. Mr. R did an amazing job with him and all the other pets.

I really loved the way the colourful spotty Dalmatian and the little Manx cat turned out (although he does look really worried about not having a tail!

Manx cat? How did I miss this?! Does this mean my little Bobbi can have her portrait done after losing her tail as a baby??? Do you realise my wish list just increased again? What about Esme? She has most of her tail but half of it is bald (another one caught in a car engine - I don't go around sabotaging kittens tails!)

I love the collections you manage to come up with - and the names!

Introducing Farfrae Heulwen ("sunshine" in Welsh) He started out with nylon hair, but I rehaired him with white mohair. He needs another styling after the haircut floofed his mane back up a bit. I have a major weakness for the Welsh Cob and he's only my second solid palomino. Before: pinky-cream nylon

He looks lovely with his new hair-do, he suits the white so much more than the blonde nylon! I don’t think he is a biscuit unless someone has repainted him... Biscuit was quite speckled and had back socks if my memory serves me right

Interesting. The catalogue Biscuit looks totally different than the example I was sent for the ID site. I think I'll need to swap out the picture there. The markings were "adjusted by owner" in my gallery example, but I didn't realise how different it was. But I have to agree on further inspection with him being un-Biscuit

I think that welsh cob was a spare from when Helen was, um, deliberately painting the regular Julips in absolutely flat colours without any shading so she could put her "realism range" models on ebay and make them look better in contrast. Also I think he was possibly Jen's (Jenniferr, I believe, on Georgie's Julip forum) originally; I remember she had loads of those flat-painted models anyway and I do have a feeling he was one of them.

Excellent info, ASIS. Thank you! I found the user name on Georgie's forum and looked up her posts. I found Heulwen and a ton of other familiar faces. Some of them I know other people now own, and I swear about a quarter of my collection consists of former Jen horses.

Agree with that being one of Jen’s that Helen painted to look plain, she also did a great line in ‘battleship grey’... Biscuit was a really rich golden palomino colour with speckles.

I've been trying to resist this grey Farm Cob, but my dark side kept telling me what a nice pair he'd make with my dapple grey. Asis was kind enough to work out a trade with me, so now I have a team
Father and Son, Bartholo & Figaro I made their ribbon colours slightly different and changed the tail decorations a little.

They look great together, beautifully plaited manes and tails
