I started thinking about how my Julip tack room isn't very good (it's tiny for one thing) and now looks a bit rubbish next to the other buildings I've got/am working on and I seriously don't need any more projects on the go as I already have a load of others to work on including several building projects (I'm still working on a stable block, the 2 storey common/staff room (with balcony!) and a conservatory and the caravan still hasn't had its roof finished and the old feed room is still meant to be being converted into a chicken shed) but I already started looking up pictures of tack rooms for inspiration and I'm seriously tempted now to try to construct a new tack room essentially from scratch sometime soon. Some of those tack rooms you find pictures of though are so fancy, I find them a bit... soulless? I mean they're very nice to look at but all too showy, like they look like nobody actually ever uses them, there's no mess, no dust, no grooming brushes lying about, no photographs of beloved horses or tatty old rosettes hanging up and things like that, nothing that suggests anyone that uses them actually enjoys riding or being around horses. I'm going to keep on looking for more ideas though anyway. (If anyone has pics of their own tack rooms, model or real, I'd love to see them)

I'll have to take some pictures of my finished buildings when I clear away some of the clutter (also dust) that keeps accumulating around them. Your tack room looks really nice, like a proper tack room on a busy stable yard where people actually use it.

This is my barn and store room. The lights and battery box still need sorting and we won't look inside the barn because it's largely just a temporary dumping ground for random accessories at the moment. There's supposed to be a clock on the tower too but I haven't found anything that really looks right on it yet. These are the stables I customised from dolls house sheds (Julips in the top row, Isis ponies in the bottom row). I'm probably going to replace the brick paper at some point though cos I think it looks too modern and also just really fake. I've also just remembered that for some reason too I never got round to putting latches on the doors on the bottom block. Not one I made but I've recently finished fitting out the new feed room in this stable block. It's an old Magpie Models/KB Models one (which was pretty much one of my holy grail items which I coveted from back in the 1990s when I got the KB models leaflet but I could never afford any of them or even hope to receive them as presents then. This one was a really really lucky find a couple of years or so back.) Feed room This is my current tack room with the little garden area next to it. Again no inside shots because it's way too cluttered and messy in there which is partly why I really want to replace it.

That barn is really cute and I love the stables you made. I managed to find an old looking brick paper/card for one of my dolls houses and it looks quite realistic. Its from mytinyworlduk and its the mixed tone victorian brick (they do quite a few different ones), it would look great on your stables.

I bought a cheap room box from eBay as my tack room, then emulsioned the walls white and papered with flagstone paper. I need to work out how to use Flickr but I think if you look on the Julip Live Photo show from 2016 my tack room pics are on there. Love your barn and the stables! And maisiemou I love your tack room!
