Our NEW Heavy Horse! Isn't he just such a lovely handsome chunky monkey! Tania has done an absolutely fantastic job on him and he has turned out exactly as I had hoped This is obviously the original sculpture and I still have to get him cast into plaster moulds which might take a little while longer and then the decision as to whether to add feathers and get him re-cast or whether to make each feathered one a bespoke model but I couldn't wait any longer to introduce him! I just want to thank everyone again for donating to the raffle and buying the tickets that we had at our show last year as this was a huge help in making this possible DSC_0001 by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0002 by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0003 by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0004 by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0005 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0006 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0007 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0010 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0012 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0011 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr DSC_0009 (1) by Lorraine Ibbitt, on Flickr

I’m going to need to start saving my pennies as I’ll need several of these gorgeous beasties!
I definitely think two versions would be best!

He’s gorgeous! Well done all involved, I can’t wait to get my hands on one Would recasting with feather lose some size like the Feathered Cob vs Farm Cob?

Yes unfortunately it would, that's why I'm wondering whether to do the feathers on each one which might be better

That's so nice. Looks like I'm already adding Suffolk, Percheron and some kind of roan European draught type to my wants list now (it looks like it will make an awesome Shire type too with feathering but I prefer the heavies with less feather myself).

It is a lovely sculpture that hopefully will be nice and versatile both with and without feathers, it seems to suit a lot of different breeds, Tania has done us proud

Thank you for doing those mock ups, it definitely gives me a better idea of how he's going to turn out once finished, he actually looks wonderful in each one!

He's gorgeous, what a lovely addition to Julip! I love how he's simultaneously nice and realistic and incredibly well sculpted but also very obviously a characterful Julippy shape too, if that makes sense

Just a quick update on the heavy horse as it's been a while.
I'm still currently waiting to get him cast, the sculpture is still a bit soft and slightly difficult to handle without damaging it. So I'm waiting for it to harden up a bit more before I take it to be cast, just in case it gets it's ear or legs get knocked, although this hot weather isn't helping at all!

Great news...the heavy horse has finally hardened up enough to go and be cast!
