As you may have noticed I've been pretty quiet on the Julip front for a while. This is due in part to my other hobbies taking over, but also my mental health hasn't been fantastic recently, so my motivation to do anything Julippy has been at rock bottom. I'm not going to sell up or stop collecting though as I know this is just one of those transient things that'll hopefully resolve with time and I still love them all dearly, but yeah, that's why I haven't been as active as I usually am. :/
On the plus side, after not ordering anything in absolutely ages, I couldn't resist putting in a sneaky wee order as a combo birthday/christmas present to myself. I'd been wanting a Fjord on the Show Cob mould for years and years, and even ordered one when Annabel still had the company, but unfortunately I wasn't at all happy with him as the painter hadn't actually been given the reference picture I sent so he turned out absolutely nothing like what I'd planned and despite being sent back to be done again he still wasn't right so I ended up just repainting him myself and having him as a Highland instead.
With Laura in command this time however I had no concerns with trying again, and I honestly couldn't be happier with him, he turned out exactly as I hoped and I can only apologise as my photos absolutely don't do him justice! I trimmed his mane a little to emphasise the traditional cut, where the black part stands higher than the rest and eeee, it really suits him!
So, without further ado, here's Magnus!
(The light hasn't been great for taking decent Julip photos recently and my camera has officially been retired after ten years (RIP Nigel) so these are all I have so far, jazzed up with a bit of Instagram magic! XD)

I also received a poultry gift from George -last chicken pun I promise- a set of fantastically weathered chicken feeders for my yard! One even came with a tiny snail, complete with slime trail!

I downloaded a brilliant stopmotion app the other day (OSnap) to use with my dolls, and couldn't resist giving it a go with the EAE flock. It would have been longer but my phone is old and the battery dies after too long in the cold which is what unfortunately happened here.
