Ever since I first saw Julip doves last year I thought that they would look nice (although quite small) as chickens, and a while back I finally got round to asking Laura if I could order a pair. I am very glad I waited as she replied saying that a new chicken mould had been created, and would I like those instead? I was delighted (and very excited) when they arrived a few days ago. Thank you Laura, they are lovely! Since the old chickens at Muddlebarn Yard had "disappeared" (Which may or may not have had something to do with the family of foxes that had been spotted around the yard... ((Other speculations included that a werewolf had eaten them, or that they had been abducted by aliens, although both of these rumours had been started by Rose and were therefore highly unreliable. )) ) Jade had decided that it would be a good idea to replace them. The chickens were rescued battery chickens from a local animal shelter and were much happier in their new home at the yard, where they got a lot of attention from the children that rode there. (Right to left: Liberty the chicken, Jade, Jason, Sally, Rose and Badger the dog.) Unfortunately they were slightly more free range than everyone was expecting and the staff (with "help" from Rose and Badger the dog) spent most of their time trying to catch them. The larger (and better at escaping ) chicken was appropriately named Liberty by Rose, and the other was named Lunch by Jason (who has a rather dark sense of humour.) .

Glad they arrived safe and sound, sorry they took so long but I thought waiting for the chickens to be cast would be easier than trying to alter the doves, love both their names
