I took my collection of Julips to Toronto Live today where they had to show against the "big boys" in OF Plastic non-Breyer. Mostly we got last place, but a couple actually beat out other models! Enterprise placed third out of three, but he still snuck into the Winner's Circle. The shining Julip moment was competing in the Collection Class. It was a "fun class" where you could enter up to five of anything as a "collection." They placed second! Photo is from before ribbons were awarded, but Vortex is already looking pretty smug with his fluffy forelock... I wouldn't necessarily recommend competing with Julips in classes like that, but they were certainly a talking point, and perhaps more local collectors will get hooked on this Julip thing.

Well done on your placings and thank you for taking them to the show, I don't expect many people had ever seen one

It was fun! And they didn't do too badly. Mr. Blue, my black Lippizaner, placed 3rd in Spanish breeds. Pasque, the Farm Cob, placed 3rd in collectability and 6th in breed in the Draft class. Enterprise, the "AQH", placed 3rd in Saddlebred. Vortex, the Norwegian Fjord Irish Draft, placed 5th in Other Breeds. And the a fore mentioned 2nd in Collection as a group! My china collection overshadowed them at the end of the day, but it was really nice to have models that I wasn't terrified of getting bumped and smashing to the ground...
