I grew up with a Dalmatian called Simon - always referred to as Simple Simon ( he was a tad dim!)

Hugo! He looks a bit slow, like Hugo from the Vicar of Dibley

I second Morse as an excellent name for a dalmation. I also find Mark wonderfully fitting as a "real" name that's also wordplay. I'm a sucker for puns.

All mine are named after people on QI, after Hazel said my first one looked like Alan Davies and I stuck with the theme. I have Alan, Stephen [Fry], Bill [Bailey], Rich [Hall], Sean [Lock], Jo [Brand], and Phil [Jupitus] - any more will get named after other regulars, probably Rob next cos of Rob Brydon's memorable appearances with his long socks! P.S It's Dalmatian not Dalmation, cos they were from a place called Dalmatia which ends in A

Seurat might be a good alternative name as well.
