Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any "Wolseley" (or similar) stables that they would like to sell? I believe that they do not make them anymore, but if I am wrong, please can anyone tell me where I might buy one? I am soon to get my first Julip (Very excited!) and I currently only have an old cut up cardboard box with no roof which is serving as a "stable". If anyone sees any on Ebay, please can you let me know! Thanks.

I don't have any stables to sell, I'm afraid, but the Brushwood Toys ones are quite nice and might be worth an eBay search Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your upcoming new Julip! Are you going to tell us what you've got on the way or will you introduce it when it arrives?

Thank you! I will introduce my Julip properly when she arrives but she is a portrait of the mare in my profile picture. I did see the brushwood ones, they are very nice however I'm looking for a stables without a tack room on the side as I don't have enough space!

I might be selling one of my blocks, though it does have some damage - dodgy hinges/missing bits that came with it when I bought it. It doesn't have an attached tack room as such, but there's a sort of corridor at the back with open doors on either side.

No, avoid that company at all costs - they've a very bad reputation for not sending things/wrong items.

Most of their feed bowls/mangers look like cut up yogurt pots and egg cartons! I'm curious as to how they've managed to get what looks suspiciously like a Magpie Models bucket though... :/ The horsebox is a Bruder one too and something I've been wanting to get for years but I don't have the space!

They did have Magpie buckets, I've got some older feed bowls that came from them originally where the Magpie part of the name underneath has been really crudely sanded off. Maybe they got a massive stockpile of them from Magpie once. I'm sure a lot of those plastic and rubber feed mangers/bowls they did were just chopped up plastic and rubber ice cube trays though. A lot of their accessories look quite nice but then you see them for real and they're really poorly made or made from completely inappropriate materials or just from stuff you could get yourself for less and turn into things that look just as good. And the Bruder horsebox looks really nice but it can't be the same scale as most of their models (the Bruder horses are pretty much Julip pony size).

I really want one of their boxes. worryingly I've put in an order with MPT so we shall see, they are guarenteed a rocket and me on the phone if the stuff doesn't turn up.
Welcome to the hobby Katie - hope you find a stable. Why not keep an eye out on ebay for julip stables, you can always renovate and update them.

I don't mind about the condition and the coridoor should be fine as I think that I will have a bit of space when the cardboard monstrosity goes!

No, avoid that company at all costs - they've a very bad reputation for not sending things/wrong items. They do sell some items via Ebay as well so if you really want some of there stuff find them there, at least then you have the weight of Ebay/Paypal to fall back on if they don't play ball

Get some foamboard and balsa wood and have a go at making your own Or get a dolls house room box (prices start at £12) and convert them to stables. I've converted mine into a staff room with toilet and wheelbarrow store room. All I needed extra was foamboard for room dividers and front, dolls house doors and window and of course furnasings and paper

I've been downsizing the stables today I've realised that my herd is going to grow and in all honesty I can't put that many stables in the hobby room! So I've packed away my fencing, jumps, outdoor arena props in a box, dismantled one of the stables so now I've just got a small block and I've bought a room box for the tackroom, it will take up so much less space and I can take it outside for better light. It now just takes up one shelf

I did try making my own stable earlier this year. It was... Interesting... I tried to make some stalls with chains across the front. After gluing the balsa wood to the 'wall' I realised that it was a bit too tall. "Oh well," I thought "I can fix it." I then began to walk towards the 'stables', which I promptly sat on. (It was an accident- I'm very clumsy!) The whole thing broke and worst of all, it took me five minutes to realise that I had sat on it!

Probably a good job that Julips are quite bouncy if you're prone to clumsiness!
