Hello everyone! I've been lurking for a few days as I'm trying to work out how (or even if I can) order a custom made original which was previously a specially sculpted item - and I thought I'd join proper, as have been in love with Julips since I was 11 years old and first saw a write up in the Pony Magazine Annual in 1972. (My poor parents were pestered non stop until I could finally get to that heavenly shop in Beauchamp Place, where I bought my first Julip, a chestnut quarter horse I named 'Cherokee' with my chrimbo money... and from then on I was smitten! I still have my five originals from the 70's (some looking a tad tatty now, sadly) plus wooden stable, tackroom, stalls etc as well as a few of the HOTY's from the 90's (one of which refuses to stand up properly, even now, the cursed thing!) I'm SO pleased I found this forum, because Julips were always such a lovely memory and I'd love to go on collecting again. Do I just phone Laura, or what is the procedure please - havent wanted to trouble anyone as I know myself what this time of year is like, as am a pet portrait artist by trade. Any advice would be so very welcome I'll try and load a recent photo of some of my herd later if I can get to grips with URLS etc - in the meantime, my apologies in advance to admin if I've posted this in the wrong place etc - I'm not too used to forums!

You can phone her, email her or just send her a private message through this forum (to user juliporiginals) to order. I think you've missed the cut off date for christmas orders but you can order special orders still. Also hello!

Hi! Welcome to the forum. I am sure we would all love to see photos of your Julips! There is a tutorial on loading photos in the rules and FAQs section on here, although I still struggled! (personally I prefer Flikr to Photobucket). To order a special order Julip you can PM Laura (JulipOriginals) on here or you can email her from the Julip Originals website. There is a gallery of all available moulds on there as well which I like to drool over I look forward to seeing your photos soon!

Hello again all and thank you for the lovely warm welcome! Laura I will certainly be messaging you - can't wait to re-start adding to my little collection. Ok, I've taken a couple of photos but they're on my mobile so not great quality The first photo features my very old Julips from the early 70's and the second is my HOTY herd from the mid 90's I'm sorry I havent had time to get to grips with the direct image linking but this link should work ...I hope! x dibentley.weebly.com/julips.html

My Palomino knows it too Helen - I feel terrible actually because I can't remember his name now!! Manda - the chestnut in the stable with tack room is 'Cherokee' he was the American Quarter horse I went and picked from the Beauchamp shop in 1973.

Aww, I realise sometimes I forgot the name of childhood models/toys - they sometimes come back to you when you least expect it though!
