I was wondering if anyone could make me some buckles (for head collars and rugs) I've tried and failed- I just can't get it right! They need to be big enough for 3mm wide ribbon. I will pay postage and for the buckles if you could make me any, please let me know! Thanks

Have you seen the little sheets of pre cut metal ones you can get? Chestnut ridge and solstice sky studio do them for fairly good prices

Or you could use Manda's two jump rings method - can't find the page right now as I'm on my phone but if no one posts it by tomorrow I'll find it. I use it for all my rugs.

What are you trying to make them with? I don't know the right terminology for needle nose pliers but I used to only use the ones with flat ends for making buckles but I found recently the ones with round ends are better for making really small buckles. And the wire needs to be the right strength and thickness, too thick or thin or too flexible and you won't get a neat buckle/one that holds it shape. (I know Georgie swears by paperclips but I've never found them any good myself for making anything except model hoof picks from, they're too stiff and fiddly. I only really get on with jewellery wire, though I don't remember the thickness I use offhand).

Thanks everyone for the advice! I think I'll try the double ring method first
